Which to choose??

Hi everyone,

Next weekend I've got the option of having an hour of reiki or an hour of reflexology and I really don't know which one to choose. I haven't experienced either of them before and although I am attuned to reiki, I haven't used it very much.

where are you going for this? the reason i ask is because... if its the same therapist, they may do a short reflex of 30 mins and then 30 mins of reiki... i do that sort of thing if clients ask... its a good way for folk to try both... its worth asking anyway. )

as for which to have if they will only do one or other... hmmm tricky. both are good but then of course different. you know abit about reiki so maybe try the reflex...

i did used to work for a spa type place and sometimes me and the client would come to our own arrangement on treatment without management having to know. it costs the same so as if the manager cares!

Hi Rosie, thanks for your message, it's E'Spa in a hotel. Not too sure whether they'll mix and match but I think I'll ask her on the day. I know the hours' reiki is £60 so she better know what she's doing [sm=eeeK.gif]

I have a health condition that somebody has recommended reflex for, but then I'd love to experience reiki because I haven't tried it yet! Ooh, decisions decisions [sm=scratchchin.gif]

Reading your post it sounds as if you are more drawn to the reiki than the reflexology, however as you say you are attuned to reiki have you considered doing self treatments on yourself every day. I know you say that you haven't used it much but the more you use it the more powerful it becomes and you might be pleasantly surprised at the results.

However reflexology is an excellent treatment and experience. Hmm tricky[8D]

My advice would be to ask your angels hun, you are sooo in tune. [sm=FIFangel.gif]

I think you should try the reflexology. I am getting the impression you think so too. " I have a health condition that somebody has recommended reflex for"
Ask yourself why this person suggested it. yeah...My gut is going with R to be honest.
And if you PM me, I will do a distance reiki healing for you, so you will have experienced both!

Reiki...........£60 ??

Have any of you practitioners out there charged £60 for a Reiki session? Sorry, but I think that is an outrageous sum to charge, even if the Reiki practitioner does have to pay to hire the room. I will send you some for free!

I have Reflexology every 2 weeks, love it and my Reflexologist only charges £25!

Yes, I thought £60 was rather steep - I'm guessing it's because it's a hotel spa. Reflexology is £45 for an hours session. I think I'm going to go for the reflex... it's something I've not tried before and I'm curious!! A HP member was VERY kind to me and performed a half hour distant reiki session and it was wonderful!!! Big [sm=hug.gif]'s! Amazing actually. But something is still pushing me toward reflexology.

I guess you'd have to have regular treatments for maximum benefit anyway and at these prices, it'd be once every year

I feel like a spoiled brat in this thread actually - I should be grateful to be having anything at all [&:] Hope this thread doesn't come across the wrong way

yes, spas charge incredibly high prices.

louise, if you enjoy the reflex, i'd find someone locally where you can expect to pay 20 - 25. i wouldnt pay more than that, its naughty to charge more... even with overheads!

I have to be honest and say that as i read this I thought...HOW MUCH!!!
I know spa's charge this rate though so i shouldn't really be surprised!

If it's the same therapist that does Reiki as well as Reflexology, you'll no doubt be recieving Reiki in any case throughout the treatment

As added above, I'm sure if you get benefit you'll find a local therapist for around the £20 - £25 mark!
