Who goes to the Zoo anymore?. The giant Pandas are coming

When I was younger going to the Zoo was something my family and friends would look forward to. Today's generation is too busy with their Tech stuff now days to even talk about it. I don't hear much talk about it like the old days.

The new Chinese Pandas may change that perception or would it be a waste of money. The zoos think it can generate them $10 million in yearly tickets, not sure about those numbers being correct.

The Toronto Zoo could soon be getting a couple of cute, cuddly, and very expensive new additions. Officials have negotiated a deal with Beijing to bring a pair of Chinese giant pandas to three of Canada’s zoos for a total of 15 years, beginning in 2012.

Toronto’s zoo, along with zoos in Quebec and Calgary will each be welcoming the bears for five years each. These pandas certainly don’t come cheap - City councilor Giorgio Mammolitti says Toronto is currently looking for sponsors to help cover the $1 million annual fee, with another $10 million to build the enclosure. The total price tag is being pegged at around $20 million.

I haven't been to the zoo in years. Maybe the pandas will give me an excuse to check it out again.

If they pay me $1 million, I would dress up as a panda and live in an enclosure for a year.

Just don't put me in with the grizzly bears.

As long as none of my tax dollars go to putting on this display then I am OK with it . It should be privately funded because at the end of the day it's just entertainment .

BTW I've seen Panda's and they are boring . At least Baboons make you laugh when they present their vibrantly red asses as if to say " kiss my ass ' or the elephants will gross you out by sticking their trunk into the nearest asshole of one of their mates , even if that mate is having a dump . So gross .
