If you want it too often ... you're oversexed. If you don't ... there must be someone else.

1. Because women suck the heart and soul of a man out of his body!


Often, I think that the only reason men marry women is the expectation of constant sex! I'm not saying there's not love and emotions involved. Being divorced, I quite enjoy the freedom that I have, oh yes there are times that it would be nice to have an SO, but that's not really what I'm looking for in life.

As the years pass, the fucking turns into nagging and the sucking turns into bitching

Once the children leave the nest and the man attempts to rekindle his youth but only to find this is what's left

The reason that women outlive men by an average of around five years is due to sex, harems and violence in the Stone Age, according to a study published today.

Scientists have struggled to understand why men only tend to live to an average age of 75 while women live to an average of 80.

Now it seems that the reason is that our prehistoric male ancestors kept female harems and fought over them to procreate: because male life was nasty, brutish and short, evolutionary forces focused on making males big and strong, rather than long lived.

The discovery is reported today in the Proceedings of the Royal Society Biological Sciences by Prof Tim Clutton-Brock of Cambridge University and Dr Kavita Isvaran of the Centre for Ecological Studies, Bangalore, India.

What they find is that the difference in life span between males and females in creatures such as red deer, prairie dogs, lions, baboons, geese, mongooses, wild dogs, beavers and others grows in direct proportion to the degree to which an animal's society is polygynous. that is a society where one male enjoys the attentions of several female breeding partners.



In animal societies where males protect harems from the attention of their rivals until they are toppled, the males age faster and have shorter life spans.

Thus the very fact that men age faster and die younger than women tells us something about human Stone Age society. "The fact that there are sex differences in the life spans of men and women suggests that our ancestors were not monogamous," said Prof Clutton-Brock.

"In a polygynous society, a male guards lots of females. This means that there is intense competition between males for harems," said Prof Clutton-Brock.

"If a successful male guards 10 females, there are nine other males that are excluded. They are waiting around to topple the successful male whenever they can.

"As a result, the effective breeding life span of males in polygynous societies is shorter than that of females - because males are likely to get knocked off their perch by competitors. In this situation, it is not worth males investing in bodies that last as long as those of females."

"There are two effects of polygyny," he explained. "One is that males gain more by fighting, and that causes them to be more aggressive throughout their life span, and that is associated with higher rates of mortality throughout their life span."

"Second, because of the shorter effective breeding life spans of males, selection to extend the life span is weaker in males than females with the result that they age faster and die young."

It is not only life span but size that reveals the polygynous antics of our ancient ancestors. "In properly monogamous societies, such as gibbons, males and females are the same size, or females are slightly bigger, whereas men are on average 10 per cent heavier than females, an indicator of our polygynous past," he said.

Evolution in polygynous species favours big strong males that win the fight for the harem, but at a price. "This effect applies quite generally," said Prof Clutton Brock. "If you look at royalty, you find that kings do not live as long as queens."
