Why Doesn't Chat Clear From Previous Visit On Facebook Chat?

I have tried asking about this on Facebook but have no luck.
I don't know if it's the settings is wrong on my Facebook chat.
The chat from the visit before still shows on your next visit on chat.
Is there settings to check for chat?
I don't like seeing previous chat still showing the next time you chat.
Does anyone know what the setting problem is for Facebook chat?
I tried clicking the X on top and that don't clear previous text.
I don't know if you got to highlight and clear it yourself.
No one from Facebook will help those who need help with technical things.
It use to clear automatically after you finish chat.
I think I have solved the chat text problem.
On the chat settings star you click on that and a box will drop list to clear window.
I wish someone from Facebook admin could have helped.
