Wow thats a very shaky situation. My first thought would be your divorce isn't complete so he feels like until it is no introductions needed (((STUBBORN))) thats not fair though because you have introduced your side and the relationships has been going on for a great amount of time. When you ask him you need to get straight to the point no yelling over eachother and do not let him get to that breaking point where he wants to fight as adults that is sad that instead of giving you an answer he wants to get defensive and fight. When people get defensive especially in a situation like this then I believe there is some guilt going on.
