Why is it Easy to make Japan friends in Chats, but impossible in Real life?

IN Chats you just start chatting and it's easy and we become friends. Wel not all.. but usually i can become friends with japanese who are nice and OR don't speak much english. I know some japanese and we have great conversations.

Now... I've attempted many times since 2001 to meet japanese people in my city for friendship. Most japanese here are just foreigners students studying english or something. But it's imppooooosible to make friends with them.

These people usually like loud outgoing party type americans. They like to go to clubs and travel alot.
When they meet me they usually think i'm boring and they dont' see me as American because i'm hispanic and i'm not a native english speaker so they're not interested in me. I'm a quiet guy too.
But when i've met them i try my best to talk....still doesn't seem like they care. They dont even care if i speak japanese.

It's just weird that it's easy to be friends in the internet but meeting in person..due to the fact that most japanese that come here are kind of crazy kids that just like loud people, is impossible. I have wondered if i should just give up.

I like japan and study japanese etc.. but it seems i'm never gonna have japanese friends. Meanwhile, the outgoing braziliand and europeans and player latinos get japanese friends in an instant. these japanese girls love those guys
