Yesterday, all was right with the world. The Tiny chat on my site worked perfectly (well as perfect as tiny-chat could). Today, I get a text from one of my sites members asking what happened to the tiny chat. I logged in only to find just the link (Video Chat is provided by Tiny Chat) to the tiny chat website.
I then went to the tiny chat site and logged into the chat room from there. It was still there. I since tried to reacquire the code, post the code on another hosting site, and even put the code into an HTML file locally... ALL with the same result. I tried an different code that is supposed to do the same, but with less functionality, same result. I tried clearing the Cache on my browsers, and even uninstalling / re-installing them. I have even tried to use a different room to make sure they didn't block embed codes on my room (just to be safe). I'm at a complete loss as to the issue here, unless they changed the embed script and messed it up somehow.
I tried Chrome, initially. I then expanded to Firefox and Internet Explorer. All had the same result. I was pointed to Opera, in which it worked.
My problem is, however, that #1, for me, Opera does not work as fast as it does for everyone else.... it seems Opera is quite a bit slower, actually. #2 Not everyone likes opera, and #3 not everyone would want to download/learn a new program. This poses a problem for my website as the chat room is one of the major things that bring people to the site.
Does anyone else have this problem? If so, does anyone know what is causing it? If it's on their side, does anyone know if they are working on it?
I mean, a majority of the world don't know computers beyond Web and E-mail. Most of those people all use IE. I might could understand if they optimized for IE, but that does not seem to be the case here. It seems somewhere, somehow, there is a mistake in the code.
Could someone help shed some light on this subject?
