Why not a hydraulic (not electric) table?

If you've ever searched for tables on ebay or amazon, chances are you've seen these tattoo and salon table/chairs like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003DI3Q7A/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=

These are pretty affordable compared to the over 1000+ dollar electric table, however it has only the hole for the face with no seperate cradle, and the handles don't seem to be detachable (not sure about that).

I'm wondering since there doesn't seem to be any massage table built to this hydraulic model, why hasn't it been done. Or has it? If it's sturdy enough to hold a person lying for their tatto or whatever, I don't see why not offering the standard, face-cradled version of a hydraulic massage table. Seems like there would be a demand for that, and the buyer would save literally hundreds of dollars instead of opting for the electric. Any thoughts?

Yeah I saw that one too. Looks like a nice table, but of course it's still in the high price range like electric tables. Honestly, this would be a valuable product to have in the market, it's surprising it doesn't exist, and I'd be curious to know if anyone has tried and why it wouldn't work. Hmmmm....

I have wanted a lift table forever. I am getting a Proluxe Convertible lift kit that fits my existing table in the spring. Less than $800 and portable? Sign me up

Maybe someone should petition Oakworks, since they are the ones who also make the ProLuxe Convertible lift kit jcslmt is talking about.

Speaking of this particular lift kit, I don't like the idea that you have to remove "two bolts" from your existing table, if you don't have a shiatsu function. But, possibly, that is because I don't actually like taking my table apart.

jcslmt, will you let us know how it works when you get it (possibly in a thread just about that table lift kit)?
