I have been "seeing" this wonderful man for over 4 months. We have a strong connection and really enjoy being around each other. We haven't had the talk about "where we stand". We went out to dinner and his sister called and he let her go and said, "I'm on a date right now." I asked him, how he wants me to introduce him when he comes to my birthday dinner (which is in a few weeks). He said, "how about your friend Mark?". I had a few drinks in me, so I reacted nastily. I said "FINE" and didn't say another word. I was crushed. We awkwardly ate our dinner and silence & he left when we got back to my apartment. I talked to him the next day when I was sober and I could tell he was a bit peeved with how I reacted. I told him that I thought we were more than friends. He said that "we haven't talked about it". he said he does like me more than a friend and he's not seeing anyone else. He is recently divorced, so he told me that he isn't going to put up with any drama w/ anyone. I know he likes me and he needs to take it slow, but how do I be patient with him? I asked him if we were "seeing each other or dating" and he said he didn't know. he "would have had a more concrete answer for me before dinner went sour." He also said it was a set back. I don't want to lose him and I know I need to chill out. I talked to him on Fri and it's now Sunday & I haven't heard from him. Any logical advice would be appreciated.
