Jan. 2—High Desert Healthcare & Massage, 644 Paseo De Peralta and 5 Caliente Road in Eldorado, plans to shut down March 17 unless owners Jill Gerber, Tracy Conrad and Catherine Peck find a buyer.

The business is listed with broker Justin Svetnicka of Barker Realty.

A buyer would acquire the High Desert Healthcare reputation, client list, procedures, software and option to continue the lease, Gerber said.

"Many of our 15 therapists would stay," she said.

Gerber, Conrad and Peck started High Desert Healthcare & Massage together in 1992 and 31 years later they are stepping away together. Gerber and Peck will open their own single offices and Conrad plans to do house calls.

The trio has known for three years that this three-year lease would be their last, Gerber said.

High Desert Healthcare specializes in bodywork or manual therapy, including massage therapy, acupuncture, Rolfing structural integration through soft-tissue manipulation and cranial sacral therapy.

"We're just ready for a change," Gerber said.
