Will Soon adopt a dog, how do I introduce it to my house and my neighbors dog?

I want to make a good first impression with the dog.
its a 1 yr old pitbull. female. its already somewhat trained from previous owner.

how should i introduce it to my house? should i walk it before hand to build some sort of bonding between us? treats? crates? any advice of introducing this dog to its new home would be appreciated!

also my neighbor also have another female pitbull (8-10 month). shes very friendly. im not so sure of my dog though. how should I introduce them?

I would take the dog on a tour of your house first, that way she can get familiar with you and the houses scent. I would get a bed for her, so she has somewhere to sit and call her own, and then take her on a walk. I would keep her on the leash for the first walk. That way you can guide her around the field so she knows where she is, and you can pick up on any behaviour she has.

FOr example, she may pull on the lead at certain times, or may not get on with other dogs, so its for safety reasons.

To introduce to the neighbors dog, I would keep them both on the leash at the first meeting to see how they react to eachother. That way, if there is some conflict, etc, you can control the situation.
Just let them smell eachother and play together. As the dog is so young, its easy to train her if there are any problems.
