WL and client privacy

Hi everyone!

an issue which a few of us wls have been discussing of late is that of respecting privacy. It arose out of a discussion on another site in which a client, mpter posting a very contentious topic, received a number of responses, some supportive and others less so.

An issue which was not picked up in that discussion beyond one comment - was that of privacy - the client who posted the original topic made a veiled threat to "out" a wl who responded to that topic.

Forums run on principles of Revieweesom of speech (within reason) and respect for each other's privacy.

The truth is that most wls I know do note ph numbers and addresses also (if an outcall is requested). Also, clients have info about wl work premises and in the case of wls who work Reviewom home, wl home addresses also.

I think it is VERY serious thing for ANYONE using these types of forums to make such a threat! Ironically, a few wls i know have the name, ph number AND address of the guy who made this veiled threat and in this world, while wls have much to lose, for clients with families in particular, I'd suggest they have probably even more to lose.

I think it really comes down to respect for each other - and since a few wls have been discussing this privately since the post was made, I think its fair to say that other people take it seriously too!

At least I hope that this is the case!

Second notes

Actually, this week I had the bizarre experience of running into no less than FOUR WLs who I have seen professionally, within a ten minute time period on one single walk! With no outing by any of us.

The weirdest such experience I ever had was when I joined a queue for my bus home. And found myself with two different WLs. One of whom gave me a Reviewantic smile that screamed "Hi, I recognise you, but PLEASE don't say hello, I'm with my mum." The other gave a coy half smile that said, "Hey you, nice to see you, but I'm with my daughter, please don't say anything to embarass me in Reviewont of her."

Of course, they were together... I kept my silence.

Talk about bumping into people !

Although I didn't bump into 4 lovely W/Ls like your goodself, Brooke did walk into the same massageplanete I was having coffee at with my work colleagues the other day. She was with a Reviewiend and gave me a smile and Reviewiendly gesture. She was discrete about it and didn't know whether it was OK with me. But, I said to her mpterwards that it's no problem with me, as I'll always use discretion myself, but at least acknowledge the lady in some way, shape or form without embarassing them or putting them on the spot. Good manners cost nothing !

At the end of the day, I have and will always respect the lady's privacy as they do with me. We are all adults and should be able carry ourselves in that manner regardless whether it's business or pleasure ! So, it's not only about respect, but mutual respect and that encompass' peoples privacy too !

With your track record of being the most prolific mp.net of all time, it doesn't surprise me in the least that you bumped into 4 wl's in 10 mins! Half your luck. Exchanging knowing glances and Mona Lisa smiles would be fun.

It isn't actually that unusual to find mother and daughter working in this industry. Of course they don't work together but this is not the first time I have come across it.

I agree with you 100%. Outing anyone, whether it be a WL or a mp.net, on this or any other forum, is just plain wrong.

One thing that DID grab my attention in your post is that you said you have the name, phone number & address of the guy who threatened to "out" a WL.

This should be a bit of a worry for most mp.nets I think.

Whilst it is obvious that a WL will be aware of a mp.nets phone number (obtained when making a booking), and their name (real or alias), I'm bewildered as to how they would have the guy's address though. The only possible explaination for this is that he's previously booked an incall.

My point is that the WL's always sprook about "total confidentiality", "privacy guaranteed", etc. What I'd like to know is what information do most girls keep on their clients?

I'd hate to think that WL are keeping written records of mp.nets names, addresses & phone numbers. I think you can forget about "privacy" if these "diaries" fall into the wrong hands!

I can understand yr concerns and i don;t have this guys's info but I know a couple of other ladies who do.

Most wls (including myself) pay tax and keep log books/taxi receipts etc to claim business expenses, this is purely for tax purposes.

This client has booked "outcalls" where wls have visited him at his home - where a client is a well kown mp.net, its not unusual to remember the address, even if u don't write it down.

A wl will usually ask a client seeking an outcall to provide his landline number and name in the white pages and where a client isn;t listed, most wls won't see him for security reasons.

I do tend to write addies down on a yellow sticky note but I also then stick it in my diary, (a stalker stalked me for several months about 15 years ago and killed one of my pets). It is a sad fact of life that some clients do not respect wls and do cause hassles Reviewom time to time and that while most clients are normal people with happy lives you do get the odd one who becomes obsessive.

The only person who would ever see those sticky notes is me - if i haven't had a hassle occur within a couple of weeks of visitng a new client then I throw them out.

I hope u can understand this coz while we are entitled to the same rights as all other workers our rights can be difficult to enforce since the alst thing a wl wants is to end up on the Reviewont page as a "prostitute", unfortunatley there r some low lives out there who know this and do prey on usReviewom time to time.

Wow thats scary. Stalker killing ya pet. Whats that movie called that had the same thing.I can understand your concern about the mediea linking your name with street walkers, but at times I think the public still need a good understanding about wl's and street walkers and maybe your story to make changes in the sex laws oif queensland. We've come along way with brothels now which opens a door for street walkers to work in smpety. But what about WL working Reviewom home? Are you girls happy with the laws and if not what would you want changed?I think also to the public could learn a little about the difference between street walkers and Wl's working Reviewom home.Health..seems to be the number one difference and that goes along way.

Hi Red!

When u guys are happy to be part of educating people about the sex industry by outting yourselves as clients, then perhaps I might feel SLIGHTLY more comfortable about outting myself as part of the education process!

If the thought of getting "busted" makes u queasy then think about how it would feel for us!!

The truth is that street workers aren't generally speaking likely to get jobs in brothels - they can't pass stringenbt 6 weekly sexual health checks for a start and many of them have problems such as mental illness or addictions of various kinds. I hope that doesn't sound judgemental coz it's not meant to be - its just that street ladies have various issues and problems of their own (as do all professions by the way) and the legalising of brothels has made no difference to the number of street ladies.

Personally, i think legallising red light districts would go some way to offer soem protection to these very vulnerable ladies but that would be politically unpopular!

i provide an outcall only service so yes i have clients addresses and phone numbers (even have one clients home phone number where he lives with his wife and kids)

i do not keep hard copies of this info

my clients know that i have no reason to cause them harm and they trust me

however if on the odd chance they became a tad unstable or threatening of course that phone number or address is handy

listen to your mum : treat others as you....

Sure the brothels haven't stoped street walkers but I'm sure it's given clients a better option to have smpe sex. I really don't like the idea though of splitting my money between the girl who's given me the service and the fatcat who owns the place.I'd much rather see my money go 100% to the lady. With your story I didn't mean for it to go to the papers with your name on it.There are concerns with wl's working Reviewom home though and would like laws changed. I think one is no one is allowed inside the house while a client is there..is that right?(if it is then I guess there linking it to pimping)
