Is this man still in Patong?, always made me laugh that one.Regular BM's will know him from that tray and plastic wobbly bottle. Did he actually ever sell any ? Also Is the spearmint salesman still around (she must have been 90).

If not have they been replaced with equally likeable characters !

He was still there in april, quite a character!
Seen him each year, used to sell wobbly moustache glasses and then switched to crawling babies and then wobbly coke bottles! Wonder what he will try to sell next year!? mg: He never liftes an eyebrow or tries to talk, just stands there motionless!? :what:

I dont see him lately but he used to be everywhere, both in Patong and Karon beach.

I am surprised you managed to get a photo of him, I tried in the past and he did not allow it and hided himself.

Hi Butterfly, me and Ead is doing fine, almost exactly 3 months left until the baby is born.

Yes, lately we try to wave in the webcam before we turn off and go home when we are closing the bar.

Dirty Mike is in Koh Samui at the moment and will hit Patong at 22 December.

Me and Geir played (beach) volley ball in Karon beach today, we will play every friday so if somebody want to join you are welcome.

I used to play every Sunday and Thursday up near the hill as you come in from Patong...

There used to be a mad Australian called Ken owned a bar there....they knocked it down about10 years ago, I'd guess...maybe even 12....Used to be a lot of famous old characters there, some are still around, Michel from Miano's in Phuket Town, Mike Stark from Warm Water Divers, Ed Strannon from South East Asia Divers, fat the fat Dive Gear salesman, Anders Palm....old Patong legends.

Are there any places where beach soccer or soccer is being played on a regular basis? Would love to do that while in Patong.

we play on the beach, the only place without chairs. In the patongside of the beach. There use to be 3 different corts, but the nets are privat propeties so you just have to ask the players if you can join.
Sometimes the teams are full, sometimes not.

Sure is, saw him 2 weeks ago outside a restaurang on the beach road and amazingly he sold one bottle after about 1 hour, strange looking dude, we laught as well :bangin:

Every year we have seen him selling his coke bottles and thought the poor bugger musty be doing it hard but everyyear there he is again selling the same thing. This year though when we were there in June/July was saw him selling a different doll for a while so we thought he must have fi****ly diversified and expanded his range of stock but then he went back to his tried and tested line of stock. I will have to buy one of him next year just because he has shown some indurance lol.

BTW, be carefull when you jump into the swimmingpool in Patong Pearl, it might be to small for you and you can get stucked there :blah:
