A 61-year-old woman is recovering in hospital after being sexually assaulted and beaten in a Scarborough cemetery.

Police said the woman, who was visiting the grave of a relative, was walking through the Pine Hills Cemetery near St. Clair Avenue East and Birchmount Road some time after 5 p.m. on Monday when she was approached by a man and dragged off a paved path.

Perhaps he "slipped" on the steps going through the Sally port (repeatedly).

If it was in fact this guy who did this heinous crime, they should throw the book at him! :grrrrrr: (Both figuratively and physically... and THEN some!)

Here's an idea... maybe authorities should consult the victim and her family as to what his "rehabilitation should be? :shock:

IF it is him, which will be determined at a trial, then he a strong candidate for a dangerous offender designation. He has a history of sexual assaults and violent attacks going back to 1999.

IF it is him, he should never walk as a free man ever again.

I have no doubt that justice will be served in this instance.

That doesn't in any way make up for the pain of the victim however.
