SOMERVILLE - A New York City woman has been charged with prostitution following an undercover investigation of a borough massage parlor.
Yan Liu, 47, of Flushing, was charged Monday afternoon, said Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Michael Robertson.
At about 3:56 p.m. Monday, an undercover detective assigned to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force went in to L&S Massage Therapy, 87 West End Ave., and met with Liu.

Liu then offered to perform a sexual act in exchange for money, Robertson said.
Once the offer was made, additional Task Force detectives went into the massage parlor and arrested Liu, Robertson said.
Liu was taken to Somerville Police Headquarters, where she was processed and charged with prostitution, a disorderly persons offense. Liu is scheduled to appear in Somerville Municipal Court on Aug. 25.
