A woman in her 20s was found stabbed to death in a North York massage parlour Monday afternoon.
A man and a woman were also found lying outside the Crown Spa — on Dufferin St. at Wilson Ave. — with lacerations.
Police believe all three were inside the spa when an altercation began around 12:30 p.m., but it was a man in his teens and a woman in her 30s who were found by police with serious injuries outside the spa.
The male was taken to hospital for surgery in life-threatening condition and the woman is being treated for serious non-life threatening injuries.
“(A 20-year-old) female was so seriously injured she was pronounced dead at the scene and this is now a homicide investigation,” Insp. Darren Alldrit said outside the spa.
Police did recover a weapon outside the massage parlour near the teen male, who had been called a suspect.
Later, Alldrit wouldn’t confirm the teen was a suspect, but did say there was no more threat to public safety.
“We have to determine the roles of those involved,” he said. “We are not concerned for public safety at this time.”
THe location has been called the Minx Spa and the Blue Pearl Spa in the past.
Police are speaking to witnesses who were outside the spa but are unclear how many people may have been inside at the time of the stabbings.
