working for a chiropratic

Have any one work in a chiropratic office thats have to do marketing for free. There is another therapist working their. but she don't have time she comes in only for her appointment. It only her and me. we do split shifts so some days she do 4 to 5 hours and i would do the other have she don't do. but she have his clients already. I will if some come available or if I build more, It helps me but it also helps her too. I also have my own business but thats cool with him. But i'll be working doing all the marketing i'm hired as an employee. But i'm only paid for what I do. Anyone has any good comments or advice for me.

What state are you in? You might check with your state board to find out the requirements for employee/employer relationships.

When I worked with a chiropractor I was an independant contractor and TRULY WAS an IC. One of the stipulations I put in the contract however was that any mailings/fliers/ads, etc would mention "massage therapy available".

Right now I am a renter in a Chiro's office. He does not send me that much business. So I bring in a lot of my own clients. I am thinking about setting up my chair and offering chair massages to his clients, just to get more exposure.
