Working for the NHS

I wondered if anyone had any suggestions about how I could find out whether my VTCT Holistic Therapy Diploma Level 3 (when I qualify in June, that is) could give me the opportunity of working for the NHS as a reflexologist (I'm not that keen on the massage therapies) as this is what I'd really like to do.

My course is at the local college andfor some reason I thought that the NHS will only consideremploying therapistswith degrees.

Any thoughts on this? I'm wondering how I could find out. Thanks.

Hi Sandra

You would be really, really lucky to be employed by the NHS. Have you thought about contacting local hospitals to offer therapies to their staff. I do this in 2 hospitals now and it's lots of fun and very worthwhile I think. They don't get many treats and don't all get great pay.

To treat patients, in the majority of cases I think you'd be expected to do it for free.
