World Reflexology Week

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone had anything planned for World Reflexology Week ~ 24th-30th September.

A few of usReflexologists herein Durham are holding an event in our local shopping centre ~ promoting the benefits of Reflexologyby offering taster sessions and donating the proceeds to our local hospice.

Good way hopefully to get a few more clients and raise money for a good cause .......

Any one else up to anything?

As there are AoR seminars next weekend which people are attending, we are doing our tomorrow ahead of time. We are inviting donations for taster treatments in the church hall, raising money for our local hospice. My friend and I just did a last minute bit of leafleting in the High Street. The number of people who totally ignored us! We only got one man muttering that it was a load of nonsense, so it was quite good going I suppose Ah well, it might bring us a few more people tomorrow. Hope it stays nice!

Hi guys,
I'm combining WRW with the macmillan cancer support coffee morning and giving tasters in return for donations. I just dropped over 100 leaflets and that was only one side of a road. I'm due for a lot of walking next week!!!

I booked out a hall, and I have visions of sitting there for 4 hours doing nothing. But one thing I have noticed is that people, shops cafes etc are more receptive when you say that you are collecting for charity. They are more likely to come for a taster knowing that the money is for a good cause. It just means a lot of work for a week, but hope it brings in some clients!

Wahey! We raised just over £200 for the hospice. It was a really lovely day, with such marvellous energy in the hall. A wonderful experience for all of us. I hope your events go well too, chaps. If you can station someone outside in the street (while the event is going on) to tell people about your event and hand out leaflets, that worked amazingly for us.
