Would any Australian love to see gay marriage introduced into Australia?

Yes, most people would, but the religious right hold it back and the politicians are too scared of them.

The Greens have actually introduced a private members bill to legalise homosexual marriage in the past (believe was early 2000's, not long after the law was changed to be exclusive for males and females only). It was defeated by a majority in parliament (as will the any new bill introduced).

I wouldn't say I would "love" to see it introduced, but I believe it should be legal (the only reasons are religious based, which should not dictate a legal process in Australia).

I hope it does happen. I think its just a matter of time before it does. The Greens are introducing a new Bill here in Tassie to try to get gay marriage legalised, but unfortunately the premier thinks its a Federal issue, so it probably won't get anywhere.

I would totally support it! And it hasn't been introduced yet because no one powerful enough has had the balls to stand up till recently (The Greens) Lets hope they get the bill passed!
