Would it be stupid to attempt to chat an old friend whom I used to hate?

I want to facebook chat a girl who used to be one of my best friends, but haven't talked to in almost two years because at one point I couldn't stand being in my group of friends anymore. I thought they were so mean but after leaving them I haven't been able to get really good friends again. I used to think I hated them because my best best friend in the group was always a ***** to me, but now that i'm in high school it just seems stupid. I dont know if they would this it was really weird if I were to facebook chat one of them and try to get back into that group although I get this feeling like they'd make fun of me because I was trying but I'm convinced thats just my insecurities coming out. If I should talk to her, what should I even say??

i know exactly how you feel! I'd say that you should only attempt this if you think they've truly changed, if they are still bitchy there is a higher chance you'll end up fighting again. If you want to talk to her just say 'hey, not spoken in ages! How you been?' and let the conversation progress. Sometimes that happens in friendships, a bump in the road could lead to a better relationship in the end good luck
