OT - this letter just shows that he sucks at english - you can't really say too much about his skills, and if indeed somebody hired him - they are assured of a stable resource for at least 5-6 years (the "mai yeh ehsaan zindagi bhar nahi bhulunga" effect)

My take on the post,
There could be 2 sides to this.

1. He could be a guy from a poor background(he says middle class). He could have studied in hindi medium and could have picked up english only in college. Hence, the poor language. I would certainly not laugh at someone just cos he wasn't blessed with the same education and lifestyle that my parents could afford for me.

2. He could really be bad at english.

I had a friend in college who has studied all his subjects in Tamil medium until high school and came to college and had to study everything in English. He struggled for 4 years, he failed initially since he couldn't understand english. Slowly he picked up and worked really hard. He was a linux guru at the end of 4 years. He didn't get a job until we completed college, because of his lack of speaking good english.

He then left to mumbai, found a great job, now holds a degree from BITS(masters) and is getting a very good pay in mumbai.

Everytime he opened his mouth the entire class used to laugh at him, girls never used to talk to him, some did just to irk him and see him fail at his english. Now he has the last laugh :
