wullstones: a year later, my review

so it's been a little over a year that i made that $1200 investment on the wullstone sets.

as you may remember, i ended up selling one of the smaller units here because i didn't use it. although, that particular one is my favorite piece but i didn't need 2. now, 3 MTs later i wish i had it so that the other MTs could use it. oh well.

anyway, the smaller unit has held up nicely. can't say the same for the big one - AT ALL.

let me also mention that my clients *love* the stones and the difference of the warmth. and that i, as the therapist, love the ease of working with the stones, love the fact that i don't scald myself, and until yesterday, loved the ease of cleaning them.

but they're falling apart. one of them started loosening and so i treated it with extra care and yesterdya the other one just smack fell apart. they can be rigged back together but they were expensive.

not to mention that gunk that was inside when i tried to put them back together! and i've cleaned these - THOROUGHLY - each time. yuck!

all in all, i love the idea - but the knock offs that i got on ebay for $50 have held up much better. boy, i wish i could find more of those.

Thanks for the review. I've been wondering about those for a long time, since I can't hold the stones in my hands (too sensitive to heat,) but the $ kept me from buying them. Maybe it's better that I didn't.

I purchased some wullstones also. I haven't been using them much. But now that its fall I might start giving them a shot again. Mine have held up OK but then I haven't used them much since I purchased them.

Overall I like them but they need to be about half the price. Definately worth it if you could say pay $250 instead of $500.

Hello,
I had the same problem with my small unit, it just cracked. However, I called Ron and he replaced the unit for me. Clients do enjoy the heat and I enjoy the ease of using them.

Just started using them again. Have to say they do grow on you. The more you use them the more you like them. My clients are really eating them up.
