Does your clinic sell giftcards? Is the holiday season the time of year in which you sell the most? If so how do you promote them? In-store, social media, website?

I sell them, but it is only a few per year. I don't recall how many it was last year, but I don't think it was more than 5. I don't advertise, unless I put my little "penguin banner" in the window. It is a picture of a penguin wrapped in Christmas lights with the info of "Gift Certificates sold here... etc. etc. etc."

We had a thread last year about the GC's many of us sold. That may be useful too.

Yes, we sell a lot of gift cards during the holiday season. We promote them via our web site, social media, in-store marketing, an e-mail newsletter, etc. We offer many options but promote the most profitable ones most heavily. If something didn't really work, we may/may not repeat it the next year. A good gift card season can provide a nest egg to help tide you over during slow periods. The key is to not spend the money as quickly as it comes in.
