Xmas presents for clients

I know this is early but I have already started my Christmas shopping!!!!

I thought it would be nice if I could give my regular clients a 'thank you' in the form of a gift, nothing expensive, just a nice thought. Do any of you do this and have any ideas of gifts I could give?

I spotted in Tesco yesterday in the wedding favours section, pretty cream gauze bags with gold swirls, 10 for 3.99, could be useful to put small gifts in,
gemstone keyrings are inexpensive and nice to have.

you could give them a nice christmas card and say 10% off the next treatment for their loyalty in the last year - then hopefully clients will book with you in January when it can be a bit quiet

Couldn't afford to, and was advised never to as an independant therapist - if you are working within a spa/salon/centre it may be OK. I do not do Christmas cards either. I have, in the past, given a discount - it is a good way to encourage future bookings.

although bath bombs are a nice idea, please remember not everyone has a bath these days, we only have a shower.

I agree, it's amazing how many people don't have baths so bath products probably aren't a good idea. I use guest sized bars of my soaps to give my customers as freebies in their parcels and that always goes down well.

What therapies do you give? I'd advice something related - eg a oil disperser / scented candle for an aromatherapist.
A discount's usually a good idea, but I would prefer something like a free upgrade - eg, full body massage for the price of a half-body, or something like that.
Or there's the option of something branded - get some mugs made up with your company logo on it, or some keyrings - something like that.

i tend to give a voucher worth £10 off any treatment, i did try the 10% off but it didn't seem to work, with the £10 voucher it seems to be more like money in the hand so generates more,

this year i will be sending a christmas card with a £10 off voucher inside! Instead of corporate cards I have bought 50 cards and have printed 50 labels with my business details on which I have stuck on the inside of the card and I am now starting to personally sign them all!!! For the vouchers I have had some postcards done through vistaprint which I will enclose inside. I am also going to give these vouchers to friends and family who have yet to try a treatment!!! xxx

I like the idea of scented candles. As for the bath thing, I know all my clients have them! I also l like the idea of giving them a voucher to use.

I certainly couldn't afford £120 per client!

what about making the voucher look like a £10 note, but where the queens face is put your logo. If it looks more like money, it may subconsciously make your clients realise how lucky they are.
I am going to get some netting and wrap some green and red tumblestones up, a bit like wedding favours with the almonds in.
I may do personalised christmas cards too.

when i do the christmas cards i put the voucher inside a card and personally sign it. I also do this for each clients birthday, they are genuinely grateful for the birthday/xmas present and always excited when they ring to make their appointment.

If you do go down the £10 / 10% voucher route, how about giving them 2 - one for your existing client as a thank you to them, and the 2nd one for them to give to a friend (make it clear it is for a friend). That way its a bit of marketing at the same time to try and broaden your client base. And a good word from your existing clients will certainly help to encourage the friend to try.
