Yay! Enrolled on IHM course today!!!

I enrolled on an IHM course today. It's a VTCT Diploma which lasts for 12 weeks. It starts on the 1st March, the day after I complete my Swedish Massage course, so no rest for the wicked!

I was planning on doing Reflexology in September and, initially, was going to do IHM next September as I didn't realise that there was a course starting sooner, so I was well chuffed when I just stumbled across it whilst merrily browsing on my local college's website! It was obviously meant to be!

Anyway, that's it really! Just thought I'd share!

Hi again Sarah!

That's fantastic! A 12 week course sounds great. My VTCT IHM is 20 weeks, started in Sep. and qualify in March. I assume it's longer because it also covers M2 and M74 as well as A&P of the Head, neck and shoulder areas, aimed at the student not yet qualified in other therapies. It doesn't take too long to cover the routine, it seems to be all the other stuff! Our case studies weren't too heavy either. We did 3 people 4 treatments, but VTCT only actually required 3x3 treatments, and tutor just wanted to make sure we did enough! REally enjoyed doing them too!

Hi Sarah! You have actually answered a question I was going to ask you!!! Was wondering how many case studies I might need to do, although I guess it might be different seeing as it's a different college and a 12 week course as opposed to the 20 week. Think you're right in saying it's because of the M2 and M74 as I did this with my massage course and in the course guide it states that you need to have already done these for the IHM course. I'm really looking forward to learning the routine and already wondering if I can adapt the face and scalp part of my Swedish massage routine using IHM techniques! I must stop getting ahead of myself though!
