yayy..my first reflexology baby

I started treating my first pg client 2 weeks ago at 36 weeks.

Now, she had her heart set on reflexology sending her into labour, as much as I tried to tell her it wouldn't work like that, i think she still thought it would.

Either way, she was getting benefits from her treatments - shoulder problems eased, constipation went away, braxton hicks eased, more sleep etc.

I treated her on Sunday, all ok and went away. She posts on a pregnancy forum and I've just seen on there that after I left she felt sick, had bowel movements and contractions.

Today she is in labour, 5 mins apart and is in hospital now - yippee!

I'm thinking of offering her a freebie session as a congratulations gift and possibly a mini treatment on the baby - what do you think? Is this a good idea?

I am sure she would really appreciate it - unless she thinks that the treatment brought the labour on!

Thats a lovely idea. I personally, always offer a free treatment to my clients after they have had their babies. Sometimes after the birth all focus is on the baby and it's a nice way to let them have a little time out. I say 'time out' however most of the new mums bring their babies with them. It's really lovely to see them. They love to talk through their birth and its nice to add the outcome on their notes.
