Hello. I have found that Kundalini Yoga has really helped my lower back injury which before then even though I did stretches and also Power Yoga...I was still in a lot of aches and pains. Then I finally tried Kundalini yoga and wow what a difference it made. I've read a post mentioning back cured through Bikram Yoga. I have not tried Bikram Yoga nor expect to actually...but ya never know. The back focused excerices of Kundalini really did the trick in my case. I know others with back problems due to accident but they are up in age with other health issues and cannot do yoga...and also the years of sedimentary life for some of them and just not really excercising, fitness..etc. Some people think that just walking or bending or going out to work everyday is excerise ...what they fail to understand is that the body needs to bend, twist, breath, stretch, invert, and cardio in different ways as well. I would say that a lot of my back recovery is based on perhaps the fact that my lower back problem was acute and not so far gone that it could be healed in part by my first hour of Kundalini. There are obviously other with more indepth and complex back problems that have to really be careful of excersices because of that or do excercise under some professional supervision. My only caution with Kundalini (especially if you have other health/issues or injuries and especially if you work with a video tape) work according to your own capacity and take it one step at a time...do more as you go along because the instructors are usually young, very able, and experinced..and the excercises are very active. If you want to learn more about Kundalini or other yogas simply do a searh on the net!...you'll find your way. Has anyone else had yoga related back progress?.
