Your first experience playing guitar? And some advice for a newbie?

Also the tuning device I use has led lights.The red means it's to flat or sharp and blue means it good.I can't get just a blue
Ive just started playing guitar today and it's fun but it really takes allot of work and concentration. Also im having trouble tuning the strings even with a tune device which is confusing to read for some reason.Im positive I won't give up but it is difficult trying to slide finger's back and forth and trying to pick the right strings at the same time.Which side do you focus on your pick hands or string pressing hands?Any information will be valuable for ever so don't hesitate to give the smallest bit of info.And also what were or is some of the things you really struggled with?

Tuner quality can vary considerably. Make sure when your tuning, even if it is way to the red, only move the peg a little bit at a time. I would say to focus more on your left hand (pressing hand) as right hand technique usually comes a bit easier and your right hand will 'follow' your left so you wont have to think about it. That been said, don't neglect your right hand, it is still 50% of your technique. It's important to get proper technique down while you're still a beginner. It's really cool that you're having fun with it, keep it up.
