ZB Girls get a good cut off of those drinks

I just happened to be around when the girls got their cut on the drinks. Several of the girls got paid around 20k, include the famous Pammy. I don't know if they get a cut on all the drinks or just the expensive $9 daquiri looking drink. Just my observations for whatever it is worth.

I don't buy drinks for myself at Zona Blue........so I'm sure not going to buy them for the chicas. Same at Idem. The drinks at these two places are just TOO DARN EXPENSIVE. :shock:

Care to explain your statement? Is it because they're asking for large tips? Are you being forced to overtip? They won't take you out back and smack you around if you don't give them a $20 tip. $10 tip is fine.

WOW... I am making my 7th trip in 13 months next week. Maybe I am a bit different but I am not languishing over price of a drink when on vacation :?

As for ZB I think the magic of the place is the ability to socialize with the girls. I have stopped there every trip. Sometimes it was very subdued and almost boring and others it seemed like a party. I have had great girls and average girls (never a bad one Eddy thank you). But I find that is part of the mongering experience. The excitment of what will I get today. A good example. I love Natasha. But only when she is in a good mood. I can honestly say half the time I have been there she has been in a piss poor mood. I just ignore her on those days.

Please do not write off any establishment on one event. If we do that we could get a negative thread on every place in CR! :shock:

My philosophy is to enjoy the journey because that is far more than half the fun.

Here Here TravelMan. Lets not forget we are on vacation. And for the other negavtive comments on this thread regarding ZB, to each his own, but please remember, this board has a significant influence over what guys think and then do. If you really intend harm to ZB or any other establishment, the ladies that work there (that we rely on for a great time), then you are succeeding. I for one, do not see the benefits of bashing like the thread of a week or so ago that went on and on about tipping and a new ranking of the MP businesses. The key for all of us wishing to have a great time is to have as many quality places to attend, different in their own ways. You always have the option of speaking to the administrators about your observations, concerns and complaints. You can count on the fact that the administrators of these MP's view this site and read your comments, so it does serve a purpose, but some conversations are better left in person and not online. I for one like the options in CR and don't want to harm these businesses by taking the easy way out if I have a concern or complaint. At some point we all need to take it a little on ourselves to work in a positive manner effect change. I would hope that more frequent travelers to CR agree in part with this position and agree a different approach might serve all parties better.

Si dude and remember it was my first trip to CR but I am a well traveled monger and have been to PI, Rio, DR, Thailand, and so on. I did my research. Spent hours reading about ZB and from what people were saying about ZB it would be great and Pamela would be great. Neither was great. They have gotten greedy. YMMV.

Pamela and a few others who I won't mention expected me to tip them and it wasn't small tips but they didn't ask. They expected a tip.

So I would not suggest ZB. They have gotten too GREEDY. Worse than gringas. Far worse. YMMV.

I prefer Kamur or Oasis or P. More bang for the buck and they appreciate business versus expecting us gringos tip. Huge difference. YMMV.

ZB may have slipped a little lately with chicas demanding large propinas, however comparing the chicas to Gringas is quite a stretch.

You know what - I've always loved Pamela's freespiritedness and energy, and the way she works the room at Zona is a sight to behold. And she's actually lost a little of that baby fat and now looks slimmer than ever.

But it's time she got reigned in on this tipping thing. She really disappointed me this trip, when after I hooked her and Karen up for a 3-some with my newbie wingman, she asked for more $ AFTER he had already tipped EACH girl $20! Just what is it going to take to make her happy now???

Until she tones down the act a little, may I suggest that you throw some business to some of the other, lesser known girls. Gina in particular was fantastic this time, Brenda's sister Jaqui is fun if you like a little more "junk in the trunk", and others like Leticia, Karen, and Sharon (Shadow, Charo??) are good for consistently hot sessions.

I have always considered Zona Blue one many places in San Jose. For those who like it, fine but I prefer to roam the entire scene and find good talent all over and they appreciate a 2000 or 3000 col. tip in the local places.I do occasionally session in ZB but much more often outher places and it is definitley not a good place to drink.rbc100

The girls definately expect a tip. I went there twice when i was there, both girls asked me outright for a tip.

Idem, the one girl did not ask me for a tip.

Local vs. gringo native economies

It's simple.

IMHO, the drinks at ZB are overpriced, as are the drinks at HDR, KL and Idem. These places are catering to gringos, ergo higher drink prices., higher session costs and higher expectations of a propina.

We all make the mistake of overspending while in C.R., in a situation where the local economy doesn't require it. Drink prices at ZB are on par with American bars...if you're comfortable with that, cool. 8)

I've made my feelings about tipping well known. I'm a "rounder," in that I round up to the nearest five bucks. I tip $3.00 at ZB, rounding the session up to $45.00. If the service is extraordinary, I'l round up to $50.00...a very generous $7.00 tip. Generous that is, by the local standard. Maybe that's why Pammy doesn't love me anymore. :

I stand by my anecdote: When Ruffnutz gifted me with a session with the Sister Act, he pre-paid a very genrous tip as well. Knowing this, Pammy and Laura still pressured me for a tip, Pamela telling me that she required a $10.00 tip for BBBJ. Not knowing that Ruff had already prepaid the tip, I shelled out another twenty bucks for the two of them, then gifted them with fairly expensive sex toys. The session was everything I hoped that it would be, but the greed regarding tips has virtually ensured that I'll never go with Pamela again.

Hey, if you can roll high, go for it. As for me, I'll go with fewer girls at ZB, IDem and/or HDR...and will follow RBC's lead in seeking diamonds in the rough elsewhere.

I believe you will find that the girls of ZB have been talked to by their administration and now understand it is unacceptable to request a tip. This should change the atmosphere and pressure everyone is feeling when sessioning there. This should be viewed as good news for all.
