I spent 4 nights in San Jose and I mostly spent my time and money at the Blue Marlin but that was not really by choice, it was just that my friend prefers it there, and I hung out with him to drink there, and inevitably got sucked in (no pun intended) by the girls there.

Not that I didn't have a good time with the BM girls, it is just that it's always such a risk there: Are they going to give good service? Are they going to ask for more money? Are they going to steal from me? Etc...

Whereas, at ZB I always get good service, I never have to worry about being robbed, and it's always one great set price and a solid hour of services of my choice. I like the sauna, I like the shower in the room, I like the staff, and I like the girls!

This time I only had Pamela with Laura and my only complaint was that they pressured me for 10k colones tip, each, which I felt was a bit extreme and uncalled for.

Nevertheless, I had a fantastic session, as usual and I much prefer ZB to the BLue Marlin or Key Largo.

It's just that the BM and KL are much more oriented towards just hanging out and drinking, and so when nightfall comes, what else to do but go there and look at the pu*sy on display? Then, one thing leads to another, and I end up going with lesbians and having a decent time... but not as good as Pamela and any girl of her choice... (My all time favorite session was Pamela and Sharror or "Shadow" as some say. Is Sharror still there, or did she move on...? Woah. That was a familiar story. I was just there a little over 2 weeks ago and my wingman said he had a double with Leticia and Karen. My wingman was giving a 2.5k colones tip each and Karen goes "What's this?" He felt like he wasn't tipping enough and ended up tipping them both 10k each!!! He didn't tell me until after we left, but I wish I would have told Eddie something. But we were staying there and it was our first day out of two. It might have felt awkward to hang out with the girls downstairs if drama would have occurred over that. Tough dilemma.

All the girls there want a propina of at least $10. They will tell you $20 is normal though it's not. I thought the girls there were great overall. I had some very passionate, enjoyable sessions. I think the VIP price plus a good tip is well worth it. One girl did seem upset that in a 30 minute session(which I finished in 20 :twisted: ) I only gave a $10 tip. She would have been sitting there doing nothing otherwise so I don't know what her problem was. Having said that, the girls overall there are great I think. You're wrong. I know for a fact girls will avoid guys that work them for an hour and do not tip well. That is a fact and I had two girls tell me they do it. Try not tipping the top girls there and see how far that gets you... Sure, you'll get one notch on the bed post but that's about it. Tipping is not about being a man. If a girl treats you right and you have a good time it's worth a tip even if you could "escape" without giving one. It doesn't make you less of a man to actually improve a girl's financial situation, nor does it make them thieves to try and improve theirs at least to a similar level other employment opportunities would present. Do girls at SL go for less than $50? Do HDR girls go for less than $50? When I pay $30-$40 for a session at ZB, the girl just made $15-$20. Does adding $10-$20 to her ledger really make someone a fool? I seriously doubt it. For me, the question is, are they providing good service and hoping you treat them right with a tip or are they trying to get you to guarantee a good tip, even pay it up front. If they are trying to get $20 out of you before the session even begins, yeah, that would be a problem.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that we shouldn't tip the girls. In fact, I'm wholeheartedly in favor of tipping. The job they have is not easy, by any means. I was talking more about the guys who complain about being pressured into big tips. A tip is a gratuity. It should be determined by the client, not the provider. Some guys will not stand up for themselves and cave in very fast. But I do think that if a girl complains too much and is not going to be happy with 5k, she shouldn't get anything.

Nothing seems to get our members worked up like a debate on tipping. I tip when appropriate (and not excessively) and in my limited time in San Jose have never been pressured by a chica for a tip or told my propina was inadequate.
I agree with Orange, if a girl complains about a 5k (colones) tip, she should get nothing.

However, I've noticed that comments will be made in front of the clients with girls present to send the message that tips are expected (they groom us). The idea that tips are not required may be Eddie's objective, but not tipping or small tips at ZB simply will not work for you.
I've become resigned that an extra $10 is a part of the experience at ZB

Actually I believe if Eddie were to chime in he wants his girls to be tipped well for good service. I don't believe he has anything at all against it. He just does not want girls hassling us before or after a session. I believe if a girl "rocks your world" he would be more than happy if you choose to tip more than $20 or if you sessioned a few good times with a girl to give her a slightly bigger tip as a way of saying "thanks". I also tend to believe that if a girl(s) were to avoid a guy that was hard to please, worked them for an hour, then tipped almost nothing he would also understand if girls choose not to be with you. So no, Eddie probably does not want us pressured but does not want us using his business and his employees as our outlet for bargain sessions in SJO either. Why would he? That's all my opinion, of course. BK, I think there are realities to the situation is all I'm saying. It's not cut and dry about tipping. Where else can I get a great atmosphere, a managed situation(unlike the HDR) and a price of $50-$60 for a great session? If I just want to try a girl out I can spend $30 on the half hour and tip a decent amount and still be treating the girl well.. That's a bargain imho. We say "no cien" to girls at HDR, which I generally agree with, but for some reason want to say "no half cien" as ZB. But at SL or other places we think $50 is a bargain but normally pay much more. Most of us wouldn't expect to get any quality out of HDR for $50 unless we bend the girl over the rail and then we aren't making any friends. Please, nobody chime in now and remind me these aren't people we are with but prostitutes we pay. It's really unnecessary. When you look at all our other options, it pays for us to pay the girls reasonably well at a place like ZB imo. I want them there when I go back. I want the Yirlas, Naomis, Karens, Andreas, Millis there when I return. It's just a matter of perspective. I don't have any problem with a guy choosing to tip almost nothing if that's what they want, especially if they feel like service was poor. I did it at a NF session last trip- it was uninspired and hurried so I tipped nada. In all my posts here relating to ZB I am just saying that an extra $10-$20 for great service with a girl far better than I'm used to getting on a whim back home or even from other venues in SJO is not a bad deal and it does not destroy the scene down there. You can get away with little or no tipping at ZB, it just won't carry you that far and that they don't feel eternally grateful for your paying $44 dollars for a session of which they receive around half.

I'm not going to comment anymore and don't want to sound like I'm trying to convince anyone they have to tip a certain amount. All I'm saying is that for good service at ZB with a decent girl- or one you think is awesome- it's not unreasonable or overdoing it to pay an extra $10+. I cannot justify, other than selfishly, that paying $70+ at HDR/KL/SL is "ok" but be unwilling to pay $50 w/tip at a place like ZB.

It's clearly a problem that they ask for a tip like that, or pressure the client for one (and a big one, over 50%!), with the implied pressure they won't session with you if you don't... As was said, they then avoid those who don't tip, or not enough, which is quite a distasteful practice as they pick and choose the clients. It's not done in the other MP, would not be tolerated really, and it did not use to be done at ZB in the past. That's why Eddie put up those signs forbidding it, but they blatantly ignore it! In my view, this creates a bad atmosphere, and I will not be going back to ZB while this is going on... My two cents...
