Just because you (not you) don't agree with what they're protesting or don't like the optics (carrying firearms), it doesn't change the fact that what they're doing in that picture is well within their constitutional rights. That's the first and second amendment in full display and theres nothing their corrupt government officials can do about it.
If clueless and inept Governors like Whitmer (Michigan), Newsom (California) and Murphy (New Jersey) continue to act like pseudo dictators with their very draconian social distancing measures (some even clearly violating the bill of rights) while presenting no prospective date to reopen the economy, they can expect a pseudo revolution from angry citizens with small businesses to run and bills to pay but no paychecks to show for it. I am so sick and tired of elitist assholes who have jobs in this climate looking down on unemployed working class people or business owners who want to make a living again. Why do these spoiled brats constantly thumb their nose at people who have been affected financially by the shutdown yet they never lambast these irresponsible leaders from certain states who act with no sense of urgency in trying to reopen the economy?
It's okay for these hicks to protest the same way it's okay for hood rats from Black Lives Matter to protest. Only an idiot cannot tell the difference between an activist/protester and a terrorist. A terrorist is someone who would use violence to advance his/her political agenda. These hicks haven't used violence at all yet they're demonized in the media. A group like Antifa attacks people with bike locks and sets fires in the streets but they're glorified by the media just because of their liberal values that coincides with theirs.
First paragraph: that's exactly his point. If a group of black or brown people were to protest in the same manner holding rifles, they would be arrested on the spot or worse. Wouldn't they just be displaying their constitution rights? There is a clear double standard here which you clearly glossed over to try and make your point.
Second paragraph: sure, the measures are draconian but, there are many other counties in the world enforcing emergency stay at home orders. It's not like this something these states are doing on their own. The whole purpose is to flatten the curve and the states you mentioned are some of the most populated and thus, hardest hit. You also fail to mention any of the Republican Governors that extended stay at home orders so your bias is extremely blatant. Do you not not think the hundreds of thousands of other people staying home don't have small businesses to run or need paycheques to feed their families? Of course they do! Except they're not being assembled by far right groups to politicize the pandemic. Look at most of the signs they're holding. It's obvious that most of these people are far right Reupublican supporters. Also, if the Federal government was quick to realize the severity of COVID19, the states wouldn't be in the situation they are in now. It's hypocritical to ask for urgency now when there was none to begin with when this whole ordeal started.
Third paragraph: Some Antifa protests do get out of hand but mainly when they encounter far right groups like the Proud Boys. Having said that, I have problem with labelling Antifa a domestic terrorist group however, you'd have to do the same with the far right groups as well. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
