Be cautious and have low expectations. I have been in an entanglement with an MPA for two years. It’s been great. Will I be surprised when it ends or If I find out I am one of several/many guys she’s seeing ? No. But I will be hurt. I’m willing to experience that for the fun and companionship I have right now.

Completely agree, I understood the initial thread topic as "can dating lead to marriage and an actual relationship". So I was seeing it from the point of view of a emotionly starved young man who thinks there's a happy ever after. But absolutely if you have the chance to date one of these girls, you should do it. Take em out for dinners and have the time of your life. Just know there's no running into the sunset together afterwards

Yeah, I have. She was barely working as an MPA--only with a few clients who would email her to schedule an appointment, otherwise she was never on schedule anymore. I had seen her 3-4 times over the span of a year or year and a half. Then we met outside of her work, got along well, started going out and eventually got pretty serious (though it didn't work out). It wasn't any different than a normal relationship: she had her own income (regular job), independence, none of her friends were in the business or knew she had been, and she didn't hang out with anyone she knew from the business either. She also paid close to equally for things and there was no expectation that I'd pay more. It is always a slippery slope and often with a crash at the bottom, but you have to go in with eyes wide open. If they are willing to leave the industry, then it might work out...but they'll probably be looking at you to replace their income
