I need to get back to weight training though...

i used to do running but it killed my knees and i blew my achilles out too many times. So now I tend to do paddling.. Not much to paddle in the winter aside from the erg machines.

Has anyone broke—keep the hobby separate from personal life rule and regretted it? How does it burn you down the road?
I am generally a guarded individual and that much more in the hobby.
My regular keeps pushing to get to know me on a more personal level.
Are there benefits to crossing that line?

Also I'm sure it's been discussed but when she tells you what she's giving no one else is getting do you believe that?

As for your last question, I only do this with you is the most reliable cliche in spa world. After, you're so big, you come so much, and we will do that next time reply to any service request.

That being said, people are people, happy and sad, honest and deceitful, lonely and withdrawn, but just as likely as confused as anyone else in a given moment. You are in the room with the lady, you have been in the room with other ladies: is there anything that makes you feel this one's feelings are genuine? And if so, what are your own feelings? It is easy to feel flattered by someone's interest, but is it something you really want to act upon? And what is your current situation and the risk vs reward calculation from a rational, non-emotional perspective? Answer those honestly (and above all else, to thine own self be true) and then decide if you want to proceed.

OG has a long history that he shares here in a pretty unvarnished fashion, particularly the difficulty of knowing and dealing with facts: the lady is engaged in the activities inherent to this line of work.

In the end only those we care for can hurt one us. For me, I also keep my cards close to the vest, even so, I will add one last little bit of Tennyson: Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Regrets, I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention...

Crossed the line many times, a couple of times it was quite serious, ultimately it didn’t work out and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t heartbroken for awhile…having said this, I’ve never regretted anything I’ve experienced with any spa girl I’ve gotten close to. The pros have definitely outweighed the cons.

I can see myself getting too drawn to the one girl I’ve talked about a few times. Started this thread partly to remind me that it probably wouldn’t end well…

What does crossing the line entail?
I'm sure exchanging numbers is the first step, messaging into grabbing a bite outside the spa.
But what is there to gain? At what cost/risk.
Should I be content with a hour long visit and keep that fantasy outta reach?
That special feeling and connection, the temptation to take things further keeps things feeling electric without getting burned

Visiting these ladies, to me many times seems to be a form of accelerated dating. The business part of it is a guard rail where you can get really close to them. The time and money spent tends to be so economically favourable as opposed to going through the conventional process with civvies.
For me the biggest inhibitor of things progressing, aside from the fact we met at a spa, is the communication barrier. The physical and emotional connection is like a 2 legged stool.
