I have got 15k in my wallet drawn ready for D Mans birthday bar crawl.. I might come home with some, I hope so.. But it wont surprise me to wake up with a sore head and an empty wallet again..

Phew just realised something in my blind panic, Lil's a patongy boy, he doesn't realise how much cheaper stuff here in rural kamala, beers 50bht, 30bht happy hour.

Whoops back in a panic forgot we were starting at 2.30pm and it is in the company of Lil,K2, PadhollowlegsMc, Dman, okay panic resumed off to the bank now for overdraft facilities!!!

Bringing it back to thread, in one smooth, seamless motion, at least bf's are cheaper in kamalala, only exception is beergarden!!! Ld's are usually only 30bht higher than normal price here as well!! I know that cos I keeping getting Denver's tab!!

As I see it, the girl is employed at the bar, whether the bar is closing or not, you pay a fee to take the girl with you.

Common practice I would say. Just because the car rental is closing at 10 p.m. you can't get the car for free if you ask for it at 10.01 pm

UB you do not have to pay the bf if the bar is closing, what trade are they losing?? what service from her are they not getting?? none, so no bf.

Car hire was bad example as you will still pay for the use of the car (girl) in your example, but the garage is not losing a car that could have attracted other customers or got them some small profit on oil sales, so no car loss fine (bf).

Hope not to confusing all this metaphore stuff!!

Oh right I'm with you now, yeah even without the barfine situation it's getting more common.

And why does it cost the same for a coca cola, ie cheap, ladydrink as a 'real' ladydrink? I wonder if the girls are encouraged/told to choose the most inexpensive drink (to boost profits for the bar owner).

Maybe like business people everywhere it's just about seeing what you can get. Whether or not it actually translates to big profits for the bar owner I don't know. Maybe the Thai? landlord just hikes the rent to cream off any surplus leaving the bar owner hiking the ladydrink price and barfine to compensate? So if they don't get income from the barfine presumably they would put up the cost of the drinks?

to the bar scene.

Anyway, you live here like me so you should have found it quite easy to build up a stable of regulars who will come and see you out of "normal working hours"!

Agree that 500 for a barfine is expensive, but some bars in Soi Tiger have a higher barfine than that. If I remember the name correct, there is a bar in soi Tiger called "Cheeky bar", and there the barfine was 1000... :erf: atleast it was 1000 for the ones that where dancers. I had a girl from that bar and she said directly that "Dont pay barfine" come get me after work instead...

Also I had one girl from a bar were the barfine was 500, and it was like 2AM, so I told her that I would wait instead for the bar to close, then she just told me that she would go down 500 in price for LT, if I paid barfine. But if she gets like 50% of the barfine back, then it not so strange when you think about it...

I hardly ever BF gals....but the last one was in Patts early this year in a small bar on Soi Diana for Bht100....the next night we stayed together again and went down to her bar before dinner to have a couple of drinks and pay the BF....I was told by the TG bar owner "you look after my girl good.....you no pay barfine OK"

I much prefer the nightclubs anyway.....I like to have a dance and get to know the girls beforehand without being pestered by the lame ducks who try to sit on your arm all night and ask for laydrinks....if this happens i just pick up sticks and find another bar (thanks god Nicke's gals are well drilled in the required social behaviour) .....sure the gals expect more like Bht1500 LT in clubs but at least they are getting teh money directly and have the confidence to go it alone
