This has become one of those discussions that each aged person will have their thoughts and feel they are right. Each generation will decry the previous one, as an example, Lil your Dads BSA Bantam was as fast as anything today in relative terms and exhilarence, it didn't have to go a few miles an hour faster to have not given the same experience, and an older guy today can still get on the latest bike and drive it at those faster speeds, but the younger guy cannot easily go drive the Bantam?
The older guy did have a multitude of drugs to try, he didn't have the latest designer drugs but he can also still try those today, the younger guy cannot experience what he did? whenhe did and how he did, cos times have changed, but Mr old guy is still alive and still experiencing.
I can apply the above to most experiences, maybe Les used wording that you can pick on, but the sentiment was reasonably correct.
I'm not going to try and convince you, why? cos your middle aged, not old nor young, so can easily see you will not understand nor agree with my thoughts, well not for 20 years, then we can have this discussion again.
