Second~ R&R, I agree with most of the things you did say.
I agree that a uniform is professional and that spa employees should wear them. I just don't like monochromatic black. My personal prefrence.
I agree that the foot should be covered, in certian circumstances. I have worked barefoot previously, but I did get regular pedicures. It's a great way to show off the nail tech's abilities, right?(ps I don't work barefoot anymore)
Feet should be protected in the workplace, especially the stylists. I don't know how many times I have seen girls drop their tools ever so close to the tootsies.
As far as the hair care, I totally agree having the ability to recomend a client to a stylist in shop is the best form of advertisement. I do however believe in the trade system, paying only for product. Not what we were paying.
The largest problem I had was with the management and their "encouragement" and reasoning behind their rules. They were very condecending, rude, and gave silly reasons rather than reasons that had backing. (the flip flop thing comes to mind)
