I wonder what most people did though their high school science classes...Never rely on a single source of information.

Wikipedia is great, especially for maths and most sciences but some of the articles such as the one's on Jimmy Wales are not to be trusted. The reasons Wiki is good for science and maths is because they are normally well referenced.

That being said, I'd never actually cite it as a source for a report/assignment, but I would use the references.

I've seen a couple of these cards. I remember thinking the girls looked pretty ropey in their photos. (...They’d probably think the same if they saw my passport photo).

Even if the card meant the girl had received a check-up sometime in the past x months what about since then?

I would have to agree with Nels........that the whole idea and system is worthless.
Eg ....A BG walks out of a clinic in the afternoon with an "all clear", picks up a ST on the way home and has unprotected sex........gets infected with something.
You pick her up in the bar that night and she proudly shows you her "all clear card" that is only hours old.
Guess who's next in line for an STD???

My previous gf presented me with her health card when she moved in. I had last seen one about 3 years previous from a regular in The Power Bar.
Both tgs thought it proved a lot. The ex insisted on an HIV test, not so much for her but for me, she said she didnt know where I'd been , and I didnt have a card!
