AMP/SPA Question for you veterans

And at least in the Asian community in Houston, these are independent ladies, not indentured, not trafficked and not involved in activities other than the spa, except for their legit investments either here or back in the homeland. "It's all about the Benjamins."
The "therapists" are also independent and move about as they please, there's an international Chinese language web-site where ads for "therapists" are posted. The ladies call and talk to spa owners in areas where they might consider relocating or just visiting or to supplement their vacation.

Some just go where the money is for some quick cash. Each owner sets their own split of the door fee usually 60% to owner, the therapist keeps all tips. At the 160 spas, the split is weighted towards the ladies. The ladies that visit here from the East Coast, say its about the same there. Some ladies who are legit at home, travel "to visit friends" to make some quick money for a week or a month and then go back home. I love Asia because their cultural attitude regarding sex is very open and accepting.

My experience is that 60 door fee is usually 40 for the house and 20 for the therapist. tips are for the therapist.

Exactly right, Seanes. My X owns a couple of AMP's and everyone in the business in the Chinese community know one another. Same with the Thai community. The therapists are independent and working on their own free will and are free to come and go as they please, just like any employee anywhere.

None of the owners are involved in drugs, extortion, racketeering and whatever else morons like OilfieldCum dream up. Their business is running the spa, plain and simple.

There are two very different types of AMP's. First, the licensed shops with licensed therapists that charge anywhere from $60 to $80 per hour for a massage. Generally 50/50 house split with the therapist and the therapist keeps her tips. There are also several unlicensed shops that basically operate on the same basis. They don't get a license because getting a license insures that the State will visit and inspect your facility. With no license, the State leaves them alone for the most part and relies on local vice to run them out of business.

The second type of AMP is usually a $160 door fee. None of the shops are licensed and they are straight up prostitution disguised as a bodyrub shop. Lots of girls here travel to different cities and work for anywhere from 2 weeks to a couple months and then move on to another shop or another city.

Yes, many "legit" girls back home in Asia take an extended trip to the US to work in either of the above to make some quick cash and then go back home to Asia.

Now, in the Latin shops, that's where you have lots of girls trafficked and/or indentured and forced to work against their will or until they pay off their debt.

Behave like a jackass and be cheap on the tips ... well, you'll get service deserving of a cheap-tipping jackass next time you show up.

Wow...this is newsflash to me. Guess these must be whole in the wall joints with literally zero customers, since the owner is splitting door. Never seen that. Actually in a successful spa environment the owner keeps 100% of the door, the girl keeps tips, and the girl pays a daily fee to theowner (usually $50-$60) for basic needs...spa provides food, bed, lotions, paper towels, etc. This is a fact and you can take it to the bank. Good read though. You guys have to understand that girls in this business lie about everything. They want to save face, so they feed you bs. They tell you they make a perceneforum.xxxe of door to feel like ownwership, or more then just a working girl. The owner is taking the biggest risk in the establishment, so why the fk would they split door? Girl go to jail for no msg license, or sometimes a fu case. Owners go to jail for much stiffer penalties and then are obviously opened up to the irs.

BigBoySpike ... what you say may be true for some of the $160 "full service" shops that rotate the girls in and out every couple of weeks or so, but is NOT generally true of massage shops. The massage shops operate exactly as I described and that does not come from some massage girl lying to me, it comes from direct knowledge.

Easy way to tell the difference .... if you're getting a massage and the shop closes at 10:00 PM, you're in a massage establishment. If you're getting a "massage" and its 2:00 AM, you're in a whore house.

Check your business plan...just sayin. I could see possibly a non-asian owner having to split door fees to keep girls if they didnt have a network to pull from. Outside of that...it is just like paying $100 for a hj on this side of the fence...it is overpaying and not appreciated on that side either.

This may be a novel idea, but I would assume that nothing is 100% and people run their businesses for different reasons and handle their "split" as they see fit. No two businesses are probably run exactly the same.
