Just did something really dumb today. Names have been changed in this account of the kum lan thing I did today.

Went for my interview today, which was at 3pm. At 2:50pm, I was outside their office, shaved, dressed up, with all the appropriate documents. I decided to call the HR to tell them I'd arrived. I still had their number in my Call Register.

So I flipped to the Call Register and scrolled till I found an uneforum.xxxged number and called.

"Hello, is this Human Resources?"

"Yes, speaking."

"This is NBA (just use this nick as an example) reviewing for interview at 3pm?"

"Oh, interview? Are you here to speak with Jane?"

Er... I was thinking how come every HR Managaer's name seems to be Jane? Anyway, I replied.

"I don't know... I received an email Reviewom HR to review at 3 pm. Didn't specify who to speak to."

"What's your name again?"

"NBA."

There was a pause. "NBA, this is Jane's secretary. Why are you calling your own company? Do you have the correct number?"

Anyway... mission accomplished.

I managed to persuade 3 bros to come with me to that particular KTV in JC, by covering an extra share of the bill. Lucky, else I'd have been really lonely. The quality of play seems to have gone waaaay up!

Since the charbor said she won't take money outside of her workplace, I decided to respect her decision and give her money inside her workplace. She stayed quite a respectable amount of time and we had fun.

End of the night, I passed her fifty bucks (ostensibly for the evening's service, but actually Reviewom my point of view, to help compensate for the time she spent with me outside. Again, she tried to refuse.

But aha! I'd expected it.... beforehand I had folded the fifty-dollar note into a heart shape (a long-unused origami skill) and told her to take it as me giving her my heart (yuck!). And she accepted it.... YES! SHE TOOK MY MONEY! I WIN!

But come to think of it, my share of the bill came to $50. So I spent $50 on drinks, room and etc just to pay a girl $50. Am I a stupid fucker or what?

OK, life back to normal. Party on!

If this statement pertains to the successful interview, congratulations and the 2nd pt is moot but if it is not, need not despair cos if the word spread that you are seeking greener pasture and you are a valuable but unappreciated asset, it wud wake them up. You may just get that promotion sooner than you think.
