Bad Hygiene - is that a good enough reason to ask to leave the session? Looking for Feedback

I know in the past (December 2023), I started a thread about hygiene (body odour from sweat/armpits, etc).

It's not a popular subject and one (that as adults) we shouldn't have to talk about, but given that this is a "physical" type of hobby, it needs to be mentioned.

There was some feedback about it, and some people said that they had noticed it before, but some hadn't. (I guess it depends on your individual provider).

A recent experience for me was the following:
- saw a lady who I had seen previously (so I'm a repeat customer)
- previous session was first thing in the morning, so she would of been freshly showered
- the most recent session was an evening session (by mutual agreement)

We agree on services and payment, and then the session starts.

As she begins her services, I notice a strong body odor, (as well as a cigarette smoking odor) coming off her body/sweat (I am a non-smoker) so I really notice any kind of cigarette smell.

Yes, the session has started, but I started to get nauseous - yes, I did continue with the session until I finished (but left right away).

Question to the masses: Does a client/customer have any rights to leave if he notices body/smoke odour coming off of the provider while he is talking to her? (before the session starts but money has changed hands)
If money has changed hands, is there any chance of him getting his money back?

As this hobby gets you really "up and close" with another person, you are trusting that that person puts the same time and effort into hygiene that you do (some do but yet some don't)

Once you "hand over the money" and then you notice a body odor, do you have any recourse, (or just bite your tongue and go with it?)

If you go through with the session, should you send a note to the provider (or management if she works in a spa), of what you noticed (without the risk of offending her?)

My recourse is that I jump in the shower as soon as I get home, and then also wash every piece of clothing that was in the same room as the person that I was with.

Would appreciate knowing how other people have handled these types of situations.

I don’t think 90% of the girls don’t take shower after even full service
They just wipe with tissue only the bottom no wipe the top portion and will have back to back booking and have session with other guys
I usually see them in the morning as first customer
So careful about other people’s body fluids maybe there

I would just politely ask for her to get freshened up in the shower, let her know you are super sensitive to smoke and scents. Better yet, jump in the shower with her. If she refuses, walk.....although I cannot see this happening if you are a repeat client, most will look after your needs.

I will say that I'm "not" full service type of guy...but I will agree with you.

Many providers are probably "encouraged" to ensure that they are ready for the next customer coming through the door.

you're only going to get varying opinions, because there is no rule. some might think their perspective is a rule, but no one makes any rules here.

1. you can always stop a session any time you want. you are the paying customer.
2. in the massage+he world, i almost never pay up front. its not as escort. thats one variable you threw in.
first thing you should be prepared for - if you get up and leave and inform them why - that is the last time you see them. don't go back, they won't want you back. it will deeply hurt their feelings. be prepared that this relationship is over.
3. don't assume when they do their personal care. never assume anything. make educated guesses but expect to be surprised sometimes.
4. asking for money back is where this board might divide. this isn't the western "business ethics" area of life, of "the customer is always right". you are asking money back from someone surprised that you stopped the session, hurt and offended and maybe feeling personally attacked at the suggestion of hygiene. you are dealing with an emotional reaction, so good luck negotiating in that moment.

I would have done what you did. grin and bear it, take the bare minimum, get out and never go back. this is an "under the table" kind of transaction we engage it and we are always taking a chance because there is no BBB for it. WE are the BBB, we share information so we have the least risks possible. But it happens. Just take your licks and learn.

I will admit that I like your logic.

You do raise many good points:

1) Yes, a person can stop a session whenever they want...hopefully before you hand over your money...if "they" already have your money, you likely won't be getting it back

2) Interesting that you don't have to pay up front...the majority of the MP's that I have visited have always wanted payment up front (I'm talking no matter the nationality of the spa..white/asian, etc)...or independent working person

3) Agree....personal care is up to the individual person.....just as in the 'real world'...some people shower daily for their life...and I have personally known people who showered every second day (and no, it had nothing to do with budget/cost of water)

4) Yes, this board acts as a "BBB"...we talk daily about our experiences (good/bad/ugly)....the providers are critiqued quite heavily...the good ones survive....the ones that have negative reviews won't be around for long.

I did go through with the session...I did pay for a full hour, but once I was "happy", I quickly left (maybe 40 minutes in)...I expedited the process so that I could get out of their sooner then later...likewise, in other situations I will say that I have to meet a friend for coffee (just to leave)..no matter the time of day.

May I ask, what locations have allowed you to pay "after the session"?

Putting the stinkier shoe on the ther foot, I wonder how many times a therapist needs to direct clients to the shower before starting. I am sure they see a lot of questionable hygiene throughout the day. It's common curiosity for both to be at the top scale of being clean in this close industry.

Only once I broke my own rule for first morning appointments and seriously regreted my choice. I went for an afternoon session and the burning latex smoke was still coming out of her kitty. LOL

I would say the majority of providers do not require payment upfront if you have history with them.....Whatever you do do not see Lilly on the South East side just off whitemud, she will literally get your wallet out of your pants.

For me it was always agreed upon usually after the flip but I'm not getting off the fuckin message table to reach for my cash in the pants on the couch 5 feet away from me with my hard dick wagging about. That's just weird. If a massage is not going good at ANY massage parlor (legit or semi) then dont complain after the flip or even 30 minutes into the massage. It would need to be early enough in the massage that you decide "this is bothering me to much" and make the decision to leave. Maybe 5 minutes into the session. At that point I would never go to that establishment again.

It would need to be early enough in the massage that you decide "this is bothering me to much" and make the decision to leave. Maybe 5 minutes into the session. At that point I would never go to that establishment again.

I have been in situations where I have left 10 minutes (into an hour session), do to dissatisfaction.

In this particular case, I will not be seeing this provider again.
