Bar Fines on the rise???

I think its more to do with guys paying the bf and not knowing whether it goes to the bar or the girl... I'm assuming most of the time the bf goes to the bar for losing one of their bar staff/hostess/dancer etc... I think they would be more inclined to pay the bf if it goes to the girl... Most the girls make between say 6500 - 8000 bht a month (pulled these numbers out of my ass) So feel free to correct me if i'm wrong...

So at 6500 a month thats about 216.67 bhat a day using 30days
at 8000 a month thats about 266.67 bhat a day again using 30days

So a bf of about 300 bht is fair, if the bf is 600 shouldn't some of it go to the girl?? Does it?? Don't know why, i'm quite fussy when it comes to bf's... I'd much rather pay the girl extra.... Call me what you like but i'd much rather pay a girl 1500bht then 300 to a bar and 1000 to the girl... Although i do understand the bar needs to be compensated for the loss of a staff member... I'm still conflicted on this matter i guess,,... :what:

Usually the girl does get a cut of the bar fine..

Remember bars put girls on salary, provide drinks, provide food, provide accomodation (lady house) etc (not all of them and not all at once but some of the above is usual).. It costs to have a ladyhouse, it costs to have a salary. The bar fine is a way the bar recovers some of that cost.

If a girl gets nothing from a bar (or just drink commision or some cheap drinks) shes a FL and theres no need for a bar fine.. If the bar suppoorts her theres a bar fine. If you dont like paying bar fines then pick FL's in discos who dont get bar owners support.

Don't like the barfines, but i'm beggining to understand... Plus you've shed some new light on it as well. Didn't know the bar paid for the housing and food... But then again, its not all the bars that do this yes???

Still don't like it... But i completley understand the bar needing to be compensated... But when a barfine is 200-300bht do these bars pay for housing and food...??? Or is it the bars (not gogos) that charge a 500bht barfine that pays for housing and food...???? When a bf is 200 - 300 bht, wouldn't that just cover the salary??

Not all bars do this and it would be rare for a bar to pay for a house AND full wages AND food AND subsidise drinks.. Though most bars do some of the above or a combination of above..

Some bars run a lady house, more comon if they have a lot of girls arriving new from upcountry because of a wife that gets them from the village etc.. Many girls like to chose thier own place to live so it varies.. However do not underestimate the work involved in getting and keeping good girls in a bar... Getting and keeping girls is a major struggle for a bar especially if its not in a high traffic area or a busy bar.. Busy bars have it easier in that girls want to work where lots of punters come, the busier you are the easier it is to get girls and the more FL's will drop by for simply cheap drinks or LD drink commision..

Girls often get up to 50% of the bar fine..

Agree. What adds up for me are my drinks and the LDs. If you try to save the 200 baht on BF, then you have to start all over again in a new bar, and probably blow it all (and then some) on new LDs. Not to mention the time "wasted".

And who needs yet another "what you name, where you from" anyway...

LOL Nels...I would like to do that as long as it was a light hearted thing and nothing too serious...but Mike's with Stevem on this matter...and I will have to ease him into soi croc (ouch that doesn't sound good ) for at least a couple hours drinking at one of the bars which employs LBs...just to have an oggle and a laugh at their antics...perhaps laugh WITH them would be more appropriate...LOL

Some guys just can't stand to be within cooee of the LBs....and Mike's one of the broardest minded people you'd ever meet but just can't stand to be near LBs

No of course not.....well not me anyway.....but some long term guys may not drink at certain bars if they know other Bars have cheaper BF's.....all l was pointing out is that some long termers may adhere to a strict budget in order to maximise their stay in LOS......l guess you may know better than most if that is the case.

Paul stated basically that some guys if they are worried about an extra 200 baht BF maybe they should not be in LOS....but if they r in love with the place, and do not have huge $$$$ who can blame them to sticking to Bars with cheaper fines......guys like these maybe go with FL's a lot to avoid BF all together.....l don't know for sure, l was just thinking that LOS is not only for people who are flash with cash, but also Retiree's and guys who are limited in funds, so it's their decision to pay what they see fit to.

very true!!! but if they charge you 300 the first night and then you go back the next day with the same lady and they charge you 500. should be the other way around.

Yeah marcia.....some can be a real pain in the asss......all puns intended........ but they can also be good for a laugh/tease if you are having a drink or two in mixed comapny with them..

Mikegb likes to tour the shows with an entourage of BM's.............I was about to go with them last Xmas but slunk off after having second thoughts just as they were about to leave MTB..........they said it was a right laugh though the next day........!!!!!

Champagne & Angels girls get all the above - except food. Had very few customers winge about $13 - if they do then better the girl not go out - happy girls count very highly on my priority list.

But as Mr.Graham said after 37 years in LOS: Now im packing .. LOS have become a snobby place for rich people .. im moving to Cambodia in December!
