Baya (Beach) Night Club

I haven't been there in a very long time, well, maybe one or two visits since its heyday, but tonight I ran into a few of the girls handing out flyers saying 80 baht drinks from 8pm until 3am. And a live band every night from 9pm-1am. 1,500 baht bottles. I didn't go, but that sounds like the song of the truly desperate...remember the D-club specials which were like 5 bottles of beer for 200 baht (i might be exaggerating, but I forget) and that place now is a dusty storage zone (another thread in its own right).

Anybody been to Baya lately? Any buzz?

last time i was in tong april/may...taipan and rock city was busy and poor baya stuck in the middle was empty...and i mean empty....no one...not sure if there was an entrance fee or not ...anyone know why???

i went to Baya in May, no March and it was pretty good actually
I was with Mr Dean and some other people
left there around 4-5am

Baya is one of the few clubs that LBs can get into...if that's your thing!

Went there in June and I thought it was terrible. It was dead and not exciting at all. Only reason I went in there was my BG wanted to check it out.

I went up there with a group of girls and ladyboy from a bar on Soi Eric (opposite MTB)...when I suggested Tiger, the girls explained that we couldn't go there but could go to Baya.
Taipan is probably the most liberal of them all...a Soi Eric girl that's 19 told me that she goes there 'cos she can't get into the other discos being under 20.

Actually, it seems easier and easier these days if getting free drinks is your thing. It could be its own thread really, but there are always people at the top of Bangla handing out coupons for things like free shot or buy 1 get one free for places like: Tai Pan, Factory, etc. or cheap drink prices flyers.

In regards to Baya, I walked by the day after I posted the OP, and it was pretty dead. If I were them, I wouldn't be doing stuff like having a band, but try to be a little more unique, like a deep-house club or something that is somewhat lacking in Patong.
