See thats my stupid son saying why didn't I go to Pirates bar whilst I was typing my little post and then his stupid Dad for not realising he'd written the wrong name down!!!!

I reckon you guys should try INDIAN bar down near where Seri posted about, great bar, free beer when the owners are away and discounted tattos as well thrown into the bargain!!! how good is that?? and apart from our founders bestest Bar, Mai Tai where else would anybody in their right mind want to go to quench their thirst???

Its more of a sports bar, great for watching the football becasue they have big indoor screen and got 2 pool tables outside. Good to chill out and get drunk before going down to bangla as i normall need a bit of dutch courage to go down on my own.

Is it the place that used to be Reggae themed? Right on the corner with black walls (or maybe had).

Have thought about going in a number of times but the half blocked entrance and the number of guys not wearing shirts have always put me off.

How long back are we talking? First went in 2006 and it wasn't reggae themed that i could tell. It was called Papaya pok-pok then it changed to Funky's then Bar-One. Also more on the bend then a corner. It has a website but wont put the link up but it comes up first if you type 'bar one phuket' into google..

Billabong bar in soi sansabai for fotball, and the bars in the middle of Bangla Road for a few beers. Think I spent most of my time in Lotus Bar (or is it Blue Lotus?) this year, but U2 and Kangaroo are also nice.

The new bar is open there now.Ocean View.

It`s the one next to the Beach Bar and has replaced the massage shop.

They have a lot of BG`s and have been doing good business by the look of it.

I went there when my 2 aussie mates were here. NEVER to set foot in there ever again. The girls may be pretty but they are rude obnoxious Bangla Rd dirt bags when all said and done and will bring down the reputation of that good little drinking area.

Continuously hassled with "you buy me drink" force fed games even though you politely declined. Interupted whilst in mid converstaion, with where you from what your name BS......... nope not my idea of fun....i'll stick to Beach Bar and Blue Coral thanks......

After Bangla once you have had a couple of days(nights) of that i like getting into some of the quieter bars My Fav is Bad Boy Bar one of the thatched bars off Tit rd nice and chilled.
