- Online: forget fish and harmony, go for sites with words like gallery and schedule.
- Pet adoption centres: the girl is already in a mood to take something home. Strike while the iron is hot.
- Starbux: lead with how obvious it is that fate brought you together in that place. If challenged by 'we're both getting coffee, moron', reply with some math that includes reference to Pi and which has the implication that it is really very unlikely you two would meet in one of the thousands of starbux' worldwide.
- The pool: it's really just your civic duty to practice your resuscitation techniques.

Okay Dave, I have tried to give you the tools, and some decent places that have worked out really well for me, but with self pity and this low self esteem, you are pretty well fucked. Sorry bro, but in order to succeed, at the minimum you have to think you at least stand a chance and that you are worthy. Don't know what else to say.

I have not read through the thread, in it's entirety. However, in my experience, the absolute best place to meet a woman, (by orders of magnitude) ....is the wedding of one of her girlfriends.....assuming that the lady is at the wedding solo, and is unmarried....even if she might already have a boyfriend who could not make it to the wedding, for whatever reason, and especially if she doesn't have a current boyfriend...

Other good places include :

museums: especially art museums. Very few single guys go to art museums by themselves. If you have the knowledge, and inclination to become a tour guide,
and you are even remotely smooth, or attractive, you might find that several ladies ask you out, generally under the guise of they are studying a particular work of art, and they would like your opinion...

casting calls for movies or commercials: generally they are 80% very attractive women, more often than not single. There is alot of "down time", waiting around, and they generally are not there to "meet" guys, so it's pretty easy to strike up casual conversation.

If one has children...generally parks, with children's activities, especially zoos.... if you are going as a devoted father, you will attract countless numbers of single mothers. Oftentimes your activities with your children, and you being a devoted father contrast very sharply in the positve for you, relative to what the ladies have gone through with their past significant others, or ex-husbands.

Actually a Chihuahua is a very specialized hunting dog with very unique talents. Now, I'm not talking about minis and teacups. I'm not a big fan of Jack Russell's as they never stop, but they can be one of the toughest canines on four legs. As they say, size isn't everything.

Have you thought about why that is? Would you be nervous talking to your cousin if she was stunning? How about a woman you were trying to sell a car to? The thing is this, looks are just that, looks. Nothing more, nothing less. Your feelings of intimidation are probably because you believe that either a) you are not in their league, b) because they are beautiful they should be on a pedestal. The reason you don't have a problem with the hookers is because you know that it is a sure thing. Whether you impress them or not you are getting laid.

Here is an idea... When you see a beautiful woman, talk to her like you would your beer drinking buddy. I mean cut the bullshit, and just treat her as if she had a dick. Fuck the looks, get to know the person. I know this can be a hard thing to do, but work with me here. Despite what many may think, my experience tells me that women are not nearly as shallow as we men make them out to be. Jeezus, you don't think they know we want to sleep with them? In their own self interest, wouldn't they be better off with someone who respected them for who they are instead of just what they look like? Have not the battles of women been about, equality, promotion based on merit, equal opportunity, and anti-discrimination, especially that of the sexual nature? Would they not be seeking a man who has those same beliefs? Now I'm not saying for one second that when a man stutters in front of a pretty woman that her believes the above, but it might well just give the impression that he does.

Perhaps this is where the confidence show up with respect to women. With a confident man it shows that the is more interested in the brains than the beauty, that he wants to get to know the person, not just the body, (in most circumstances, and like I said before about making ones intentions known).

Of course this is just my opinion yet again, and of course I am no professional.

It would be really, really nice right now if a woman or ten stepped in and clarified this shit, I could be way the fuck off base here.

Smooth...you should know that most women don't think they're as pretty as you do. The most beautiful women on the planet still stand in front of the mirror and beat themselves up for every microscopic flaw.

A1 does make a good point...when you're talking to a beautiful woman, find something to talk about besides what she looks like. She's used to hearing that she's pretty, and you'll make much more of an impression if you notice something else about her.

yes....we want to be with someone we enjoy being with, someone we can talk to. That's probably why women often end up having crushes on male friends. They're someone whose company we already enjoy.
If you treat a woman like one of the guys the conversation will be more natural...not grilling her with questions making her feel uncomfortable and not going on and on about yourself trying to sell yourself to her until she's bored to death.

Hmmm I'm not sure ignoring that they are beautiful will always work out. It is good to get the woman's attention by showing her that you're not really hung up on how attractive she is or isn't.... but I'd think she still needs to know that you find her attractive lookswise. She works hard to keep her appearance that way and it does show that she respects her body enough to do so.
Confidence in a man is very appealing. Mostly because nobody, female or male, wants to be around someone who is ALWAYS self-deprecating...it makes them feel inadequate. But I'm not sure I understand how it is supposed to be obvious that a confident man is more interested in knowing the entire person over just the body :???:
