I keep seeing posts about how "X" spa or chain is the best, while others will talk about how much they've gone downhill, etc., with the targets for the latter usually being the Premier and Flirt chains. Lay your cards on the table. Which is REALLY the best, and why? Which has the best MPAs, etc.? Also, regarding Premier, what's the difference in service level between Pure and Perla? Oh, and finally, who's on at Premier and Flirt this Saturday night who would be most worth my time?
 
I don’t think there is a best SPA now as the industry as changed over the past two years with more girls doing incalls/outcalls outside the SPA and online such as onlyfans. When I started going to high end SPA’s in the 2016 Premier was the number 1 chain and as such attracted the best girls in the industry. Then Seductions starting attracting good attendents as they were more aggressive in social media marketing and the girls could make more money at Seductions as a result some girls decided to make the move from Premier to Seductions. Then COVID hit and changed the industry as a lot of girls started doing incalls/outcalls and onlyfans and traffic to the SPAs dropped as customers who mainly went to the SPAs started using escort agencies. Each of the SPAs have their own problems now which is hurting them in recruiting quality girls.

In terms of Pure versus Perla; Pure was the flagship of the chain and would generally have the top girls this Is not true anymore and I would say both Pure and Perla are similar in talent now with Pure having better facilities.

Premier’s Problem in Recruiting: Premier does not offer signing bonus or guarantee a basic earnings per shift and now their is more emphasis on the girl having to market herself and bring in her own clients, pay for their own photos for the website and supply their own personal care products for the clients (Body wash, mouthwash - Flirt spa and most escort agencies supply these for the girls).

Seduction Problem: The amount of hard drugs at Seductions and the cost of these drugs have resulted in poor service and the girls asking seriously inflated prices for the services has resulted in a drop in the number of customers visiting the SPA.

If you are going to the SPAs now rather then go by SPA I would go by girl and choose a well reviewed girl who offers the services you are looking for.

Are you saying there are certain girls who are losing money at Premier who would be making enough to make it worthwhile if Premier were offering a set minimum payout per shift, regardless of client level? Again, I'm intensely curious to know which spas actually have this type of policy, if this is what you mean... would love to hear more about what this policy is exactly.

Sounds like the spa equivalent of Universal Basic Income! Perhaps this is something more spas should be doing, if they are not already?

A number of escort agencies do it. For example if a girl earns earns 100 per client and if fully booked can see 10 clients the agency will set the guarantee at (3 to 4 clients) 300 to 400 dollars. If the guarantee is 300 dollars and the business is slow and the girl only sees two clients ($200) on the shift they will pay the girl 100 dollars. It is a recruiting tactic to show the girls that the agency can get them a minimum level of business; as one of the reasons a girl joins a agency or spa is an expectation that the spa or agency will get them a certain level of business. From the agencies perspective when they are hiring they expect the girl to see more then the minimum level of clients on a regular basis if she is only seeing the minimum number of clients on a regular basis she is not worth it to the agency and they will fire her.

If you look at this Monday’s night shift there is only 4 girls working the full night shift. Similarly the Wednesday and Thursday night shift only have 5 girls working full time. Also if you look at a lot of the new hires they turnover quickly. Premier doesn’t have to do this but I believe they need to do something to show prospective girls that they will get clients and earn decent money. I will use Sasha as an example prior to COVID Tiana would not have tolerated a girl working at both Premier and an escort agency at the same time so openly because it takes business away from Premier which is somewhat the case with Sasha as she doesn’t care where the client sees her whether at Premier or SFT. In fact when I saw her at Premier she recommend I see her at SFT because it has a bed.

The other SPAs have different problems. Flirts problem is they are against extras which I think is a mistake as extras are now the Industry norm. Seductions problem is the culture at the SPA and the amount of hard drugs there. If Seductions cracked down on the drugs and returned to the Seductions of 2019 it would be the number 1 spa in my opinion now. Personally, of the many reasons why girls might not stick with Premier I don't think lack of clients is very high on the list...

If they only have four girls on a shift then yes clearly they don't have enough staff, but that in and of itself absolutely does not signify their girls aren't busy enough! If anything, when there are less girls on shift chances are whoever is there will be busier.

Likewise staff turnover of new girls does not necessarily mean they are leaving because they don't have enough clients. Girls leave for all kinds of reasons. For example you had mentioned you think management should be more up front with new hires about extras. But not wanting to do extras could be one of countless reasons why new girls ultimately decide not to commit.

Or get fired! Do we even know if the turnover is from girls leaving the spa or from the spa letting them go? Many guys simply assume when girls migrate from one spa to another they've all quit - this is often not the case! Historically Premier has been known to be very selective about their staff.

Staffing shortages are not unique to Premier - they are industry wide, and of course other industries are also having very same issues. Because it's hard to get staff right now that may well absolutely be why management would be willing to tolerate girls who are also simultaneously working for agencies. But I thought we wanted them to retain staff?! Is that sort of relaxation of their normal standards and expectations a good thing or a bad thing?

Like many, chances are you've noticed it's less likely someone at Premier is going to demand $400 for FS from you. If girls were encouraged to charge whatever they wished, that would probably be a way more effective policy in motivating girls to work at Premier. On the other hand, if they are discouraged or forbidden from charging crazy extra fees, in my opinion that would make them way more likely to leave than the issue of not having enough clients. So which way to go?

In sum, like many places there could be all kinds of reasons why it's a really hard time to secure and maintain staff right now, but personally I don't think low client demand is really the primary issue at Premier, and it's hard to see how guaranteeing a minimum wage to the worst performers is economically viable or desirable from a quality control standpoint, even in a very challenging hiring environment.

Other suggestions you've made like social media, client loyalty program, etc. those could all absolutely make a big difference. It's the basic income guarantee I'm questioning, since it doesn't seem to make a lot of economic sense and furthermore it doesn't sound like any other spas are doing this.

Likewise signing bonuses. For a very short while Seduction was promoting signing bonuses, but besides that I haven't seen much about singing bonuses being offered at any spa. Is Seduction still doing signing bonuses? Perhaps there are also some other spas doing the same I don't know about?

Same problem with signing bonuses: so many women coming and going all the time and so many of them will be terrible - how do you make a program like that workable and economically viable?
 
Aren't the ladies considered independent contractors? They decide how many days they want to work and which days they are available. A guaranteed basic income would make them employees and the spa would have to collect EI and CCP. Firing an employee could be a minefield when it comes to wrongful dismissal.
I think the golden age of the Premier chain may have passed. Around the time Pure opened, practically every thread on this board was about a Premier gal, and there were so many popular ones. This new crop of gals are of a different generation and mindset,byproduct of the hashtag me-too movement. They want their cake and eat it too.

Ya, only it's not that cheap, the numbers are much higher and when the business drops off, the Agent is not booking 10 per day, they raise price and say it's harder to recruit good talent, therefore the price is higher.

To a large extent, it's about the attendant, not where she works, but certainly the environment helps. Premier, or at least Pure/Perla remain, IMO, remain really high end in that regard. Large rooms, soft music, and an upscale feeling. At one point, you could rely on a pampering experience with any girl on the roster, plus some decent extras.

Those days are basically over now, though, so there are no best spas, just attendants and they can move around however they please. Also any stars at Premier need to be booked a lot more than three days in advance, fyi, but right now I think Maze, Lexi, Helena, Kourtney, and Tiarra are well worth seeing.

At Perla there is only 4 girls on shift tonight full time. As I have mentioned above I do think there is a problem at Premier and I have said what I think is the issue and have given some suggestions on how to fix it which not everyone agrees with but I think everyone can agree that there is a problem at the Premier chain.
