Jodi, I would not read too much into your unpleasant exchange with one person like that. Unless there's additional info to the story, it's quite possible she had a bad day, or is suffering through some power struggle at work or at the School, etc etc and you just happened to be there at the wrong moment. but as pointed out in prior posts, it has nothing to do with you. People can be assh*les at times. even decent people. You should not feel any less entitled to your place at that table based on your professional path. that's just b.s.

jodi all i can say is that all people have done things that are not "socially" acceptable and therefore no one can look down on others. People like this woman have an air about them that make them think that they are better than others based on conceptions they have about others do. Just because they act like their professional stand up people does not mean anything because their personal lives could be in shambles. Work is work and does not diminish you as a person. Its a duty that has to be done to take care of things. I dont think u should feel bad or less that u were put down by this woman because people like that are not worth knowing or associating with anyway. Take this for what it is, an encounter with a self absorbed woman. Take care of the things that you need to do and do what you feel is right not based on what others think. It just irks me when people judge others not knowing what their circumstances or situation is. Well hope this helps and that someone doesnt take this the wrong way, its just my opinion.

Back from PTA meetings at school to decide whats best for the school, kids, etc.
I look around at the other parents there and feel like such a fraud. Hardworking people, concerned for their kids .... the principal loves my ideas and asks me to stop by for coffee and discuss them more (its a woman).
One woman in particular whom I introduce myself to eyes me up and down and gives me the cold shoulder.
Older jewish professional dressed to the nines and full of botox.
" I figured Id introduce myself and get to know you since you seem like you are going to play a big part in PTA meetings" I tell her.
"I know who you are" she says coldly as she walks away...I immediately know that she knows what I do.
I argue with myself all the way home. Do I want to become a well known member in the school amongst other parents? Should I draw attention to myself?
I hate myself for a minute because of what I do... who am I to have rule over kids and activities when Im bascially a whore?
On the other hand, do I not deserve to live and have a normal existence in this world because of what I do? Im good with heading up social activities and fund raisers, Im a people person... but if anyone were to ever give me away who knows, I would be a social pariah forever and my kid would be humiliated.
The woman eyes me several times from across the room and I feel small. Ive been put in my place before I can even try and that hurts because I want to be a part of my kids high school life.
I guess that this is all part of the job though

It wasnt to try to get more business... I just wonder if it ever is proper to actually do that. I think it probably isnt after much consideration.
You gentlemen would be very surprised at how hard it is actually to find a kindred soul in this city for your physical needs.

Many guys who go to massage providers don't want more. If they did, they'd go to FS providers. When I first started I only went to massage providers, and I would have said no. I just wasn't ready for that next step.

A lot of guys, once they have moved up to FS then don't go to massage providers any more.

So, you are looking for the group of men that either are massage guys but willing to move up in the world, or guys that have moved up to FS but still enjoy occasionally seeing a massage provider.

Don't get me wrong. I am sure that's no small group. But I would be surprised if it wasn't less than half of your clients.

So my advice would be, when the mood strikes you, to ask the guy if he'd be interested in more, but don't be offended if he does say no.

Here is an alternative question. How much of an increase in business did this generate from hopeful gentlemen?

I have seen Jodi as well and will return as soon as I accrue enough in my fun fund to do so! But I cannot imagine breaking the discretion of an encounter such as that on a Board like this. I think if anyone has read enough of the threads in any section of the site, they know that the potential backlash and damage done by idle gossip/banter substantiated or otherwise just creates a LOT of hassle for everyone, both current clientele, providers, and future clientele. Discretion is something we all rely on.

all that being said as well, Jodi, if you ever asked, who in their right mind would say no?

Jodi: I've not yet had the pleasure of meeting you (and hope to in the near future), but I you certainly seem to be a serious, dedicated, professional. As such, crossing service boundaries creates all kinds of unwelcome confusion both with the client and within yourself.

You appear to be a beautiful woman with a lot to offer. I'm sure you can find what you need outside of your workplace. Keep work and play separate. Given the nature of your work, I think it may be even more important for you to keep clear and strict boundaries. Just my two cents.

But let me also add that I can't imagine a guy (including me) saying no to you.

I've gone beyond the norm with some massage providers in the past, but I don't share it publicly. I know the idea of this board is to share but I also feel if a provider is not actually advertising certain services, either directly or through the usual code words, then it's not my place to share all the details.

I will highly recommend, tell everyone I had a great session and so forth if that was the case, but if a provider decides to take the next step beyond the typical session, then that is her decision and doesn't need to be broadcast.

I know this may be frowned upon by some members here but there is still some common decency between you and the provider, right? Just my two cents.

Well, the only real issue is forum drama. Of course the vast majority of your customers would be more than willing to go beyond what your services usually entail, the only problem is when they come back to the board and brag about it. Then certain people get all in a huff that they did not receive the same treatment (can you blame them? I'd be jealous).

It's your body, do what you want with it. However, I'd advise that anytime you do go that extra mile with a customer, that you let them know it's not normal, not to expect it again, and to keeping it to him/her self would be much appreciated.

Without sounding coy, can I ever properly initiate a session that may go beyond what my services are simply because I want or need a physical connection? Being resigned to the fact that I will probably never remarry and really have no interest in a boyfriend, killing two birds with one stone seems the logic in this predicament but I dont want it construed as a money thing...

i guess i might as well add my two cents here as i was finally able to see Jodi. i had been trying to see her since i noticed her ads on craigslist back in the day, but between work, schedule, etc. there just never seemed to be time. so i finally made my way over to her place for what i knew would be an incredible time.

i don't think there is one bad word written about this girl anywhere - on this site or anyplace else. it's just not possible to find any fault with her whatsoever. she is absolutely gorgeous, with a personality that makes you feel so welcome and comfortable. she gave me what was easily the best massage i've ever had, and i've had more than a few. she asked me what i was looking for and proceeded to grind, knead, pull and stretch me in ways that left me feeling well loosened up and relaxed.

of course she followed the massage with some further attention to some of those places she somehow missed during the massage - which was the perfect ending to what seemed like way too short a visit, as time with her flies bye but was easily an hour plus.

ok, so maybe this turned out to be four cents instead of two, but there are just too many good things to say about Jodi. if you haven't seen her but have been thinking about it...stop thinking and go, you'll be more than happy that you did.
