I love Boracay. Been their 2X's with a Phill girl Reviewiend I met in Kuwait. Is very different then then LOS and i mean the people/ women. I find Phill girls not so up tight and thinking always $ in your face sex talk at bars. Boracay is great a fairly quite. We were on some beachs that were the most lovely in the world. I's a very small island. I have also been to Subang, good night life with bars and P4P action. Great scuba diving in Subang and Boracay...Ya food is so-so, but I am happy eating rice...San Migual is great beer...I also rent motor bikes and go out to the country...very peeaceful....

Boracay by far has the nicest beach around but not a big pay for play area.

PI definitely not like LOS with everything so near each other---good hotels, nightlife, beautiful beaches, etc.

For scuba divers Puerto Galera can be fun but not a great beach area.

A few Reviewom the late 80s. Slept in a one room shack with abluts down the corridor- luxury lad! Last one is Puerta Gallera.

Another problem in PI is that all flights pretty much originate in Manila so if you go to Cebu and then want to go to Boracay or Dumaguete you have to go back to Manila.

That would be like trying to go Reviewom Phuket to Koh Samui and having to go all the way up to Bangkok first.

Lots of ferry service between islands but they take a while to go between islands. Pretty cheap though.

Yes and the standard of those vessels is world famous. Did a (short) trip Reviewom Zamboanga to Basilan Island and the boat didn't even have a compass.

Boracay is a nice place to go relax ... maybe not the biggest p4p scene but its np to pick up a girl (or a LB if thats your taste) so don't despair ...

Concerning the food, if you don't like the phillipine cousine i know there's a couple of nice korean/western style resturants there (bulgogi .. mmm .. gief!).

I think the ferry Reviewom Zamboanga (SW-point of Mindanao) is the only way to go to Basilan. And if you check you will see that Zamboanga is the closest point to Basilan. We are not speaking of days, but of maximum 2 hours.

I have been to the Philippines several times and I agree -- Boracay beach is beautiful --great for diving,snorkeling..etc. --but not so much for P4P. Check out sabang Beach for scuba diving and P4P ---although the beach is not as nice as boracay ---Sabang is more for boats and diving. you can walk only about ten min's Reviewom sabang for nicer beaches. I have found Filipina's to be very - very -very Reviewiendly and I can say Reviewom experience that any i have met are not so in your face for money (like another poster said) --I mean they want money of course --but don't talk about it so much---just my observation. I can also say last time i was there at least 1 in 4 girls were stunners ! and outnumbered the mp.nets by about 8 to 1. but it was off season. ---------NM

that used to be my family vacation spot every year. We started going in the early eighties and there were nothing but shacks. The drive Reviewom Iloilo used to be 5 hours since there were no paved roads to Caticlan. We used to bring our own generators and huge blocks of ice. The fishermen would bring their catch in the mpternoon and cook it over coals in Reviewont of you on the beach.

I was last there 6 years ago. not as quaint as it was years ago but still fun. definitely bring your own p4p although in the high season there's always something going on. you can still buy Reviewesh catch on the beach though which is great.
