Monuments (war memorials) are built to honour the soldiers and heroes of this country. Not politicians, but average Canadians that accepted a call and did something to be admired, proud of an honoured. There is no excuse for desecrating them. Since you are ok with the desecration you too are a “piece of shit” needing a good beating.

Just had to add...those "average" Canadians whose honour you are so concerned about fought to protect the right to peaceful protest and to a man would in all likelihood be disgusted with the "equity, diversity, inclusion" tripe that passes for morality today.

I said I wasn't in agreement with people at the protest, but if you need me to state it explicitly, no I don't think it was a good thing to desecrate memorials of Terry Fox or the war memorial or display a swastika. But I'm consistent, I want to see everyone who does such things punished to the full extent of the law, not just one side.

My father is not white. My father was saved by the American military hospital, he was left out to die due to a gunshot wound, the Korean military didn't have the equipment to perform the operation. This was during the Korean war. I have personally went to a party for veterans and was bartending for free, just donating my time, it's at least I can do right since many of these risk the lives. They saw their own friends die during the water. My father gave me his RCR jacket, you should know what that is right? I don't have the jacket anymore but when I had it I could wall into any legion without having to sign in or having a membership. My father paid his yearly member for the RCR so it didn't matter.
My father had these two flag poles but he lent to the local Korean community in Kingston. Someone in the Korean community obviously stole it. My father bought replacement and these people found out asked for to loan it again and he told them to NO. I guess the person didn't dare steal the flags because they are very rare and the person would likely to get caught if they tried to sell them. It's sad.

Here they are going out of their way to explicitly say that even if there are NO violent acts, we must still condemn the "dangers" because a nonbinary person doesn't feel safe with the protest going on. Contrast this to the same media's coverage of the year-long BLM protests where actual acts of violence were a daily occurrence. In that situation, we were told the protests were either "mostly peaceful", justified etc. And flying the hammer and sickle was not even worthy of comment. Moreover, there was certainly no way you could catch covid at a BLM street twerk fest, but if you went to a NASCAR race, for sure that was an irresponsible super spreader event. But there's no bias and the legacy media certainly never spreads misinformation.

Let me tell you, if it seems to you that people are more tolerant of the BLM movement than the fight for supremacy currently taking place, is probably because white societies and countries have fucked up black people for 200 years. I think some white people who are moderate can see how the black people would have some right to their feelings. On the other hand when I hear "all lives matter" I hear a chant to try to hold onto supremacy.

Did you know that narcissism can be displayed in polar opposites? Either you believe that you are better than everyone and thus should be treated with special care; or you believe that you are disadvantaged or inferior and you are deserving of special care. When a white person cries for equality without giving up hundreds of years of pillaged wealth, it is obviously a narcissistic display. If the media is biased towards giving POC a voice, then that is a good bias, until the point where white people start making reparations for fucking up blacks, aboriginals, asians, latin americans, middle eastern, etc...

You quite obviously know nothing about my racial views, but I'm happy to share them. I'm of the now "old school" thinking that holds every individual deserves the opportunity to be assessed and understood according to their own merits, actions and words--not the colour of their skin. I'm well aware that believing that makes me white supremacist "adjacent" these days--but I'm learning to live with it. I'm idealistic enough to hope I'll live to see a day when people look back at what passes for "progressive" thinking today and laugh at the folly.

Back when the ACLU had principles to be proud of, it argued for the rights of Nazis to march through a neighborhood with a significant population of holocaust survivors. That's the kind of freedom of speech and action I am in favor of and have no hope of seeing today. Upolding such principles with any conviction means you do so ESPECIALLY when you disagree with the views of those using the rights. Otherwise, they are meaningless.

I have no desire to see Rogan silenced, but he needs to stick to fluff.
