Hahahaha first if you think the union pays everyone in U.S. funds you are so wrong....its the American players who live in the U.S in the off season...and Gretzky dis live to the U.S. and play for the Kings....now that he has retired...well he moved back to Canada....but there is a time in every athletes life when they go to where the money is....L.A. probably had no more use for him...so Edmonton offered him a job....like I said...players go where the money goes.....no loyalty son.Dave Keon played for the leafs and after he retired he didn't come running back to T.O. from the U.S.Wrong again. Gretzky is working with the Oilers. I don't know what exactly, but I think he's an ambassador, or working with them in some capacity.
And getting paid in US funds has nothing to do with loyalty. The NHL players belong to the union. It's the NHLPA.
